I’m so glad you laughed when Gabriella popped out of the crowd like that in the beginning. That’s actually one of the reasons I rarely rewatch this movie, that one corny scene just turned me off to the rest of the movie. I love that this movie came out in theaters! HSM was really an event! My favorite songs were Now or Never, I Want It All, Can I Have This Dance, and A Night To Remember! My order of the movies from favorite to least favorite is HSM 1, HSM 3, HSM 2. Now that you’ve completed the HSM Trilogy, you have to watch The Cheetah Girls Trilogy! The second one is THE best one! I disagree the third movie isn't nearly as Iconic for me as the 1st. The first is a classic the third has a better budget. I remember every song of the first From The Start of Something New, Breaking Free, Get Your Head in the Game, When There Was Me and You etc I only remember Scream and Can I have This Dance in the third and that's really it.

This movie had me in my feels in the theaters! The ending, though! I knew I was gonna miss these characters and it came out my senior year. I think it might have my favorite HSM soundtrack. This film was the first Disney channel franchise to be a theatrical release so they definitely were gonna make it bigger this time around. Definitely did wrap it up nicely. It was a little sad that it was their last movie together. Still all three movies will hold a place in my heart. First ones a classic, part 2 is the cheesy but still good sequel and the third was the ribbon to tie it all together in a big budget with great Troy and Gabriella duets. Overall great franchise!

I remember that I forced my family to see this in theaters. I have the dvd and it is scratched to hell because of how many times I watched it as a kid. I have the album CD as well as the album on both of my iPods. I loved this movie and still do to this day. I can recite every song. I wish my senior year was a drop like this but Covid interrupted. Also, at my high school, we had people in there that looked like they should be in retirement homes.

Couple of films that came out around the HSM trilogy that I have to recommend are St Trinians & St Trinians 2. They're pretty edgy British comedies about the delinquent schoolgirls of St Trinians and their often illegal escapades.
