Fridge *really* seems to have it bad when going into Jumanji for the second time as not only is he in a non-badass avatar again but said avatar is also given several more weaknesses and the first one to lose a life. This all seems extrememly unfair until you remember that, at the end of the last film, Fridge was the one who dropped the bowling ball on it to try and destroy it. Makes sense that Jumanji is pissed off with him!

Such good performances all around. The last one was good with the Jumanji actors portraying the teens, but with the number of bodies that got swapped in this one took the performances to another level. Making up to 3 actors portray a single character's full arc and making single actors be part of multiple characters' arcs really showcase the acting skills.

I think the first Jumanji reboot was made as a "family movie," but then the audience was so largely adults that they loosened the rules a bit for the next one (hence the swearing and the grown-up big name cast). That's my theory anyway.

Author's Saving Throw: One of the complaints about the last film was that Kevin Hart, unlike the other actors, did not sound or act any different than he normally does, instead just acting like himself. This movie is just so gold. I really like how they're focusing more on the adults and adolescents for these rather than really focusing on kids. Seeing the end credit I think there will be a third movie, but seeing that covid came up I don't think they're working on it yet and otherwise they're probably still working on the idea/script. But yeah, there should totally be a 3rd (4th?) movie

This one really was next level. It’s so funny but it’s not cringe. It’s so well balanced with the cast, the connection between the Kevin’s and Dwayne’s characters is very good, I remember that at the time they said that it was easier to play them as old friends because that’s what they are in real life and they also had more freedom to improv lines. This movie has amazing script and direction, it’s so so funny but it knows how to get serious but not so sad that it totally ruins the comedy , and Akwafina was a perfect addition to the cast

I have to admit that when I heard they were making another Jumanji movie I was worried that it was just a cash grab. I was wrong. These movies made me laugh so hard and I really enjoyed them. The only thing I felt they missed with this film was the beginning of the plot. Would've have been so easy to make it so the grandpa accidentally entered jumanji when he stumbled across the game and so they all went in to rescue him. Felt the plot they used was weak but the rest was hilarious!

Technically this was the third Jumanji, there's the 1995 Jumanji with Robin Williams, in 2017 Jumanji: Welcome to the jungle and 2019 Jumanji: The Next Level. I think I heard they were making a 4th but that might have been just a rumor. Jumanji: The Next Level is the second Jumanji with The Rock, Karen Gillan, Jack Black and Kevin Hart.

Jumanji 4 definitely in the works with the same cast and possibly new characters but the director Jake Kasdan has a movie called Red One in 2023 so he wants to start production of Jumanji after that so could be 2023/24 when we get more news
