A few years ago he did a show "an audience with Billy Connolly". We recorded it on our Dvd player at the time. My husband and I watched it so many times we joined in with all of the jokes. The audience was all tv personalities, pop stars and news announcers etc. They were all completely in stitches. He spotted a face and reacted to that person. The tape finally gave up as it was worn out. My husband died almost twenty years ago but I can still hear him laughing when Billy told the story of the visiting priest and his mother trying to impress by responding to their shouts about pinching the overcoat on the bed, and she says its not an overcoat its a duvet. I can still hear my husband in fits, as we both were born in the 50s when it was pretty usual to have coats over the bed in winter as bedrooms were not heated, and only coal fires downstairs in the main room.
