You’re a proper angler Billy. I have been beach fishing for 47 years and yet I have taken some of your ideas and used them. Circle and dingle dangles. 2023 has been the best year on the beach yet. Going forward to next year I plan to go back to Norway. And take a trip to Scotland for a common skate. Both venues I plan to use south African rigs. So thank you Billy. Where ever you are brother. “See on on the beach”

Another great video! Fish fingers from lyr (pollock) is a good treat 👍 If you have a meat grinder nearby you can make some really good fish burgers or fish balls. 800 g fillet, 1 egg, 2.5 tablespoons potato flower. Salt, pepper and a little pinch of cayenne and blend for 5 minutes. Then simmer in salted water for 15 minutes. Make a béchamel sauce with a tablespoon of curry powder and into this sauce you add the fish balls. Serve with boiled potatoes and carrots. Follow up with two hours shuteye’s 😊

Next time you're at a place where it's so deep, try putting on your spinning setup a paternoster rig. A little bait, some lumi beeds or something other bright and get yourself a delicious redfish. They love cliffs and rocky drop offs. If it's not a keeper, take a needle and fizz it. They do well with releasing this way. See you on the beach!

Billy. This vid is particularly scenic - truly nice fish too. Of course, I always enjoy Your vids, fishing or not. The line on my video yardstick is whether I’d like to fish with the angler. Everybody has smelling fishing hands but Your analytic Head, Your warm heart, and Your humor have me hooked. Clearly I’m living vicariously thru You so a QUESTION- what’s Your record on first-cast Salmon? Is it a ever a possibility?

I need some heavy jigs like that. Two weeks ago I was trying to catch Lake Trout and I found a hole 65m deep. It took 4.5 minutes to get my little lure to the bottom lol. I wasnt seriously trying there, I just wanted to see if I could get to bottom. I did mark a big fish about 35m down. Didn't get him.
@Billyfishing_watch Жыл бұрын
Can you fish with lead or not? 3 oz of tungsten can get really expensive.
@differentfins Жыл бұрын
@Billyfishing_watch oh yeah, no ban on lead here... yet. Tungsten is expensive but I would only need one or two jigs. Most of the time I am fishing 10m or less. Just the odd time I come across deep water and start marking fish would I give it a go.

Perhaps you’ve already done this, but it would be great to get an overview of all of the species of fish that you get there in Norway. Like I haven’t been able to watch all of your videos, but a good number now. I’m just curious if red cod is the same as Skrei? Or coastal cod vs. Atlantic cod, etc.. maybe also what are the best kind to eat and how to prepare each kind. I’m from the middle of the US and I don’t really have much experience with cold water coastal fishing.
