It's a Dupont product. It can be cut with any type of wood blade

Will a 20 gallon sump work for a 125gallon freshwater tank? Or what size would you recommend? And what other materials can I use to make baffles? Thank you

I would think a 20 gallon would be fine but I only have experience runnning saltwater systems

Use soapy water or denatured alcohol to clean up the silicone real nice and clean.

When you cut your baffles, how do you know how wide to cut them? I know I need space for the caulk, but don't know how much space to leave. I think I remember 1/4 of an inch, but I am unclear if it is 1/4 of an inch total or each side.

I cut them as close to the glass as possible. The silicone goes on the outside edges of the baffles

@@BillyPipes I'm more confused about how an overflow draining into the sump wont over fill the sump to the point that the return pump wont keep up with it. How do you regulate that? or the pump will leave the sump dry.

Depending on the style of drain the pump and drain run at the same gph. Usually a ball valve at either end is used to create the perfect flow. I did a video on herbie style method is explained that might help
