Bilstein 8112 Coilovers with ZoneControl Overview

Hey folks! Small correction on the lift height specs for these Bilstein 8112 coilovers. On the 2015-2020 F150 these are capable of being adjusted to add anywhere from 0" - 2.5" of lift in the front.

Any word on when these are coming to the 2021+ F150?

I have the bilstein 8112 / 8100 on my 2015 f150 platinum screw with a 6.5 bed . I set the front at their lowest setting of 1.5 height and with the rear shocks I ended up with a 1.75 rake . The improvement in the overall feel of the truck is substantially better than the bilstein 5100’s that were replaced . I am looking forward to the up and coming summer and as for the winter roads here in the Anchorage area I’m glad I gave this set up a real world try . Update : I’m loving the ride but on the negative side : after almost a year the finish on the shock has severely deteriorated ! The new color I saw offered might hold up better … don’t know

What finish do you have and what would you suggest?

@@jeremyledbetter8022 : if I were to do it all over I think a darker finish would look better . Regardless I have read a suggested thought that possibly spraying a clear coat throughly over the finish of the shock before installing might help keep the new look … but I suspect that periodically a cleaning and a recoat would still be needed. To late for my set but again they are the Best Buy and although they are in stalled in no man’s land they are performing flawlessly

Is the height adjustment method similar to PRELOAD SPACERS?? If you stiffen the COILS won't it stiffen the ride?? I would rather have a TOP HAT strut spacer, or have the struts dialed in. Which is the best to get a soft ride?

@@zonacrs No ETA currently, Bilstein just barely arrived with the 5100s which might hold you over until the bigger stuff hits. ICON is the only company right now with coilovers ready for the '21 model (as far as we know)

You said it add up to 2 inch but on the website it says “Adds up to 2.5" of front ride height for tire clearance” which one is true?

These can be adjusted up to 2.5" inches of lift height.
