Just a small tip: If you ever do this again and you do traces like you did here, on the sections when you enable and disable layers repeatedly to compare the original with yours, you could remove those parts on the speed paint because the sped-up flickering of the layers is a bit disorienting, so it could affect sensitive people. Other than that it was a great video to watch! Congrats to the participants and thanks for giving your community such an oppotunity

21:50 Simply genius of Namikkou to put those two ideas together. I think it would make sense for Hyrulean Flabebe, either in one of its later evolutions or perhaps in a case similar to Eternal Flower Floette, could have a branched form based on Vaati. He did after all originate as a Minish.

These were some pretty awesome designs. The only bit of criticism I want to make is about Moldraggro. I love Garchomp so I want his Hyrule counterpart to be the best it can be. It has to do with his feet, they look too soft for a fully evolved dragon type Pokémon, Garchomp has claws on its feet, I just feel having claws on Moldraggro would give it the feeling of being a regional form.

This actually made me think of a couple concepts 1. An Eeveelution Sage pokemon --Start with a skull kid mixed with masked sage from Twilight Princess --1st evolution based on region where you level it. --7 standard (Hylian, Kokiri, Gerudo, Shieka, Goron, Zora, Priest) --3/4 hidden (based on oracles/goddesses and maybe one for Ganon/Null) __2nd Evolution at certain temples with boss battle becoming full sage/god __Split lines for each? possibly for previous stage, based on physical/special split Hylian: Elder/Knight Shieka: "Impa"/Yiga Gerudo: ThunderWitch/Warrior Zora: River/Sea Kokiri: korok /child Priest: princess/king Goron: roll/crush? __should have little familiar/guardian based on sage boss 1.5 extra sage's/races? --Minish: Elzo/Vaati --Rito: Medli/Tulin 2. Sage boss pokemon -either a fusion of each from various games where sage's get kidnapped or line evolution for each of the seven. Off my head there are: LttP, LBW, Ocarina, Twilight? 3. 3rd whale: Ocean King from Phantom Hourglass

The one thing I would change about Moldagro’s trinity form is have it’s regular colours be similar to Molduking’s colours to have it stand out more, perfect design otherwise. (I know I’m not the guy who came up with the idea of the Hyrulian Gable line but I might as well throw an idea out there)

I like how the Redead mons are based on the OoT and Wind Waker versions (at least with the colors). Also I'm glad the original artist kept the lore of the OoT Redead heads being masks. Also idk if the written concept but Oshifin is likely based on Oshus the Ocean King. I know you said you hadn't played Phantom Hourglass but there is a LOT of material there that could make for a good section of the dex. Also with Blind, depictions of blindness generally have eyes fully/mostly glossed over. Maybe not full white but maybe light pink like you had with a white pupil. I recommend looking at more of the source material. Stalblind is basically a skeletal version of Blind with a sword and shield, still humanoid. It's all peak though. Great stuff as usual

I would say keep the sleep bubble for Imprizz since without it, the only thing that makes it seem that it is sleeping is the flames not being active, though without context, I don't think anyone would know. Side note, I can now picture a Cubchoo where the sleep bubble is where the runny nose would be. Maybe it would be called Cubsnoo... most likely psychic to not trample over Komala's thing.

This might have been said already, but I think the OG design of Oshifin was suppose to be the Ocean King from Phantom Hourglass. Which I understand you may not have realized as you said in the video you hadn't played Phantom Hourglass. This is a good start for a Breath of the Wild / Tears of the Kingdom reference, as the 3 Leviathan skeletons are suppose to be each of the whales from the three games, Link's Awakening with the Wind Fish; it skeleton has wings. Skyward Sword with Levias; it skeleton has the same rigged bone plate on it head. Just add a 3rd evolution split to Oshifish that the Ocean King from Phantom Hourglass, and of course make it part water type cause you know 'Ocean' King lol. Just an idea of course, to be fair I can see you not doing this as well as the Ocean King...isn't anything fancy, just a large white whale with very bushy eyebrows.

I feel like while Moldaggro is a good name by itself, it doesn’t follow the naming trend set by other regional split evolutions. Typically they keep part of the name of the original evolution; Persian & Perrserker, Quagsire & Clodsire, Cofagrigus & Runerigus. Honestly I’m not sure if you should take the beginning so that you can keep the G at the start of each or the end so you get nibble, bite, chomp.

I'm not quite sure what pokemon this should be added for, but what if there was a pokemon, or perhaps a group of pokemon, that evolved by having their first stage (or second for a 3 stage) enter their trinity form. Kind of like, their evolved form bears a "remnant" or is "marked" by that trinity power. Maybe it could be done for the blight gannons? But also, it did look like that idea was pretty well set...

Ok, got a concept, based on Terrako (from Age of Calamity) Stage 1 is based on the little egg mode we see through most of the game. Its shiny form would be based on the black and red "Harbinger Ganon" form Now 2 directions to go. Either make it a 2 phase with a trinity form, or a 3 phase based on the other Guardians. For the former, it would become bigger with longer more spindly limbs based on the Harbinger Ganon boss fight. For its trinity form, it would have a Power type Trinity form, becoming a larger half mechanical, half power energy humanoid being based on the "Calamity Ganon" boss form (the AoC one, not BotW) For the other possibility, Stage 2 could be based on the smaller guardians from BotW, the ones found in the trials, while Stage 3 would be a form of guardian. Not entirely sure what uniquities to add to these, I just feel like Terrako has a lot of potential as a pokemon form.

well for what it's worth, while I didn't try several artists exactly, I felt like I was more than happy with you here already. However not sure if I can make use of it at some point, but I try to learn whenever I can motivate myself enough since I missed out on a lot of it back then. So if you maybe can make a drawing from scratch or maybe show what you can do if you have more or less nothing yet or maybe a small budget just in chase, i would love to see some sort of beginners guide. Maybe at some point a product list for this and that. Every "beginners" book, feels like your supposed to already know way to much about all the details.

These are Fantastic Contest Winners, I am glad they won! My Favorites are the Draquentus Line, the Leviasage/Koholish Line, the Blilit Line, and the Moldaggro Line! I Absolutely LOVE the Draquentus Line, it so Mythical-looking, Powerful, and Epic! Definitely want to catch this Dragon Pokemon! Going to be hard to decide which Pokemon are going on my team now! XD And I really Like its Shiny being like that of Spyro's, one of my favorite Video Game Franchises! Both Koholish and Leviasage are so Mystical, Magnificent, and just Perfect Pokemon versions of the Sky Whales! It also makes sense they would both be Gargantuan! I can't wait to see what their Trinity Forms shall look like! Blilit is so Interesting, very Deadly looking, and Badass! And it's an Undead Twilight Wyvern, I LIKE it! I am honestly glad the Gabite got into the Link Dimension, with a Regional Evolution and Trinity Form as well! Excellent idea using some of the Beta Designs into this Line! Moldaggro is such a Formidable, Monstrous, and Amazing Dragon Pokemon, and its Trinity Form is definitely an Apex of the Desert! This was an Awesome Video, and I look Forward to see what you will make next this upcoming Year! I saw a comment about moldaggro ralking about its soft looking feet and hands, personally I agree but as an alternative solution, you could try incorporating more flipper like hands or even more molduga-ish hands to help get rid of some of the softness that I personally find takes away from the design. Wait, sudden idea for Hyrulian Aegislash Hyrulian Aegislash: The Omniweapon Pokemon Metal/Spirit Type Description: the shield resembles the Kintsugi Shield(from my fanfic, blatant adver, I know), namely in Crossbow Mode, the scarf is replaced with a chain to reference the hookshot, and the weapon is a two-sided axe. Pokedex Entry: a form of Aegishield that is said to only be wielded by a hero in pain. It's also said to provide comfort to those that believe themselves to be without agency. Field Ability: Versatility. Basically every Spirit Weapon function rolled into one. Battle Ability: Resurging Courage. Only impact from the Fear status effect is a one point decrease in Speed.

Really enjoying what you've done so far! 39:00 - The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't reference anywhere about Blind's penchant for disguising itself as humans - particularly defenceless young women. I guess the intention was to focus on the Stalblind version from A Link Between Worlds instead. The fox-like design that was included makes me think that this could have been a chance to make a Hylian Nickit line. In fact, if I was more confident with my art, I'd do this myself...

I definitely understand that one of Blind's biggest attributes was the ability to disguise himself, but I personally wanted to focus more on the fire aspect of Blind and the magical attributes of him. As for the Stalblind part, that was the original idea for the Blilit design as it was the skeletal demon look with a sword and shield but incorporated the Twilight Type in various aspects like the blade and shield. Bilsu explained his reasons for the changes in designs as they were his take on the ideas and designs and to be perfectly honest, I really like the designs he made and have been using this as a learning moment as to compare my design with his interpretation on it or even with some smaller aspects.

kinda broke the 3/4 rule with blicinerate. might be nice to see the art updated sometime down the line, because i agree that something about a straight-on angle doesn't feel very pokemon

That is understandable. I never really noticed about that point till people brought it up. I personally wanted to make it feel threatening while also giving emphasis on the First Rod's Orb I originally gave it as well as the new first hands. But in a way, there are actually some official Pokémon renders that are front facing like Litwik and Gengar for example. So even the official Pokémon company has broken that rule at times themselves. I personally would leave it up to Bilsu on what he personally feels works best for it.

While evasion abilities can make sense thematically, they would not be fun mechanically. In a turn-based RPG, hitting an evasive opponent comes down to RNG rather than the player's skill at aiming and predicting enemy movements. I think it's safe to say that most people hate being put at the mercy of RNG. Sure, moves that cannot miss exist, but they are limited in distribution and type variety. They are also usually significantly weaker than 100% base accuracy moves and the restriction of a Pokemon only knowing 4 moves make the opportunity cost of running them quite high.

Cool video. Glad to see all of those Pokémon get created. I have a cool idea for you to consider for later. How about you make a twilight type version of Zacian using Link’s wolf form in Twilight Princess as the base design then either give it a Trinity evolution (Courage version) or give it a special sword item that can give that Zacian another form (the hero form as I call it that is Twilight and Steel type) and it would gain armor based the Magic armor used in Twilight Princess. You probably have something like this already planned but I just wanted you to imagine a Zacian based on Link’s wolf form wearing the Twilight Princess Magic Armor and holding a Master Sword in its mouth. I think it would look awesome. What do you think?

It’s just a portable fluorescent tube light I got on Amazon! It has different settings and what not! I only use it for the videos because it’s super bright!

With Blind the Thief, his shiny should be based of his alternate form from the four swords dungeon added in a port. I think it's green, though i could be mistaken.

Maybe this won't be one of the bad examples. I think I don't want it to be to much on the nose that those where user creations and maybe like in those bad examples I mentioned unfitting for the project. Don't expect any examples from me, I can't exactly remember it to well but the bad feeling has to come from something right?

I loved these pokemon. I have been making a list of pokemon I would want on my team and this video made it even harder. The only pokemon I know I have on my team are Blizzora, Masterend, and Twileon. Pokemon from this video I would like are Draquentus, demalic, leviasage, blicinerate, blilit, moldaggro, and potiongeist.

18:40 This might just be a me problem, but I think the name Drakini is way too similar to Dratini. If I didn't know Pokemon very well I would end up always misremembering who's who. It actually was the very first boss fight in the Zelda series. The Hydra is the Gleeok where Bilsu already made one in another video that also had elemental versions like the ones seen in Tears of the Kingdom.
