How would something like this work for street riding? I have a pair of riding “jeans” and I don’t like them very much..
@patrickmchugh8039 Жыл бұрын
These are off-road pants and aren't really designed for protecting against a slide on asphalt. You'd likely want to look elsewhere for tarmac riding pants.

Bilt pants are only available in inseam 32", which is a huge miss. Having short, average and tall option would be quite helpful. Full disclosure, I wear 36" inseam pants.

Where do you find that you need the extra length for Dirt / Offroad pants? Curious bc, I'm modeling these pants and typically wear a 34" inseam. You can see the excess amount of material at the knees and thighs that could help for a 36" inseam. But for offroad pants, most of them end (or are hiked up) at the calf since they are in tall boots. So is it the rise you are looking for more length at (from the crotch to the waistline)? Just curious bc for riding pants I'd understand the armor is a huge issue at the knee for inseam, but outside of the rise these would still be viable for taller riders. Unless it was just a blanket statement across the Bilt line and you haven't tried these on.

@@patrickmchugh8039 The comment is in general about Bilt and Sedici. Besides, wouldn't it make more sense to give the inseam as the measurement for the user, rather than the physical measurement of the garment? When I see 32" inseam, I immediately decide that it is too short for me.

@@arjenbootsma6881 Bit confused, when you say "wouldn't it make more sense to give the inseam as the measurement for the user, rather than the physical measurement" is the Physical Measurement the waist measurement? Bc if so, I'd think majority of riders need to know the physical measurement for sizing and not the inseam. But either way, usually more inseam options come at a larger investment in the production (i.e. it costs more bc a new production line and order from the factory has to be made) so you typically see that in higher priced pants on the market vs brands like Bilt and Sedici. But, I'd imagine Bilt / Sedici are going after the majority of riders on the market, and since most riders fall in the 32" area that would cover most riders. Not saying there aren't riders that need larger sizes, but off-the-rack sizing tends to aim for the majority for the most part. REV'IT! is an awesome brand for larger inseams, Pando Moto too if you are looking for options for yourself.

Do these pants provide any protection against asphalt slides?
@RevZilla4 ай бұрын
They aren't certified to any sort of abrasion levels since they are designed for off-road use, but the material is so beefy that it will help out during a crash if you are on some tarmac between the trails.

Is there any Bilt enduro jacket?
@RevZillaАй бұрын
No, nothing like that yet. Although built does have a full range of jerseys and armored layers for off road riding to match these pants.
