Bilt Hamber Korrosol is the best fallout remover on the market, right? But how close can something that costs £20 less for 5L get to it?
If you want to buy these:

I'm curious too, the gel consistency might help on the vertical panels.... If it can stay wet for long enough.

Used both of these a lot have found that the BH is a lot easier to actually get on the car due to fact that it works a lot better in a sprayer and the coverage is better.

I know I haven't done the LF in a pump sprayer yet, but I can see it being a dog to apply that way with it's consistency! Good to get people's feedback that they are finding that themselves, so if I have the problem it won't be unique to me.

I have used both and my personal oppinion is that Korrosol is more potent. I think the IW product is good for sides and wheels as it is thicker and loiters more than simply running off. Good video buddy.

I can imagine the scenarios you're describing being the ones when the formula is slightly better. Every time I try these thicker products I'm always left understanding why Bilt Hamber does Korrosol and Auto-wheel separately.

At the moment I lean the same way as you. At consumer pricing I couldn't choose anything but Korrosol personally, but I'm going to give the liquid fire a really good testing out as I've got 5L. I typically use about 0.5-1L per vehicle of Korrosol.

Always informative and thought provoking. My question would be, 'how does Liquid Fire perform as a wheel cleaner?' (as stated on its website description) because then LF becomes an extremely versatile product. Is it, in reality, a product more comparable to BH Auto Wheel (which would explain the gel like consistency) than Korrosol? And if it beats Auto Wheel, then that makes it a real gem. And how it performs on vertical panels would be interesting. Thanks as always
@SuperchargedLlama
@SuperchargedLlama 2 ай бұрын
Yeah ya see, Korrosol is also a really good wheel cleaner, but like Liquid Fire, it's got no surfactants, so you need to use another cleaning product as well. Where as Auto-wheel and Garage Therapy iron oxide have surfactants. I think the runnyness of Korrosol is a proper boon and it's a big benefit.

Good video buddy, I’d still stay with the BH from this comparison, but I’d add that I would only do fallout with a pressure washer rinse off, as the product is meant to dissolve the sharp edges of the fallout to allow it to be removed easier but, I’m thinking the garden hose just doesn’t have the power to push it out of its position where the PW would, then a second spray would show different results at a guess. Look forward to an update test in the future 👍👍👍👍👍👍
@SuperchargedLlama

Yeah the pressure washer will definitely be out next time, I maybe do a comparison between the pressure washer and the hose just to test that through.

@@SuperchargedLlama yeah I think it will be a big difference, I think I remember either DIY Detail guys or Forensic detailing saying that’s how fallout remover works and that’s why it was best to use the PW over the garden hose, I only get to do it properly on my car like once or twice before it gets replaced as mine is a lease, and I always tend to go for silver or blue as it hides dirt and dust more 😂 Love the channel and detailed information you give in your explanations buddy 👍👍👍👍

I’ve always been a big fan of Korrosol but just recently tried IW Liquid Fire. It seems ok. Trigger that was included was rubbish and wouldn’t work and I also found it didn’t work very well with other triggers I had spare
@SuperchargedLlama
@SuperchargedLlama 2 ай бұрын
Liquid Fire is really thick, isn't it? Takes way more effort to get out of the trigger, but then it clings better...not sure that's a good thing yet though, especially coming in to the summer. It may dry out before it's had a chance to react properly. It definitely works though.

@@SuperchargedLlama I bought it for those wheels where the brake dust is like brown rust and doesn’t budge as it’s promoted to be as good as an acid based wheel cleaner. Sorry to jump on your comments chaps. I recieved 5 litres of IW LF a month or two ago and I could get one of my triggers that would dispense it. It was thicker than I’ve ever seen (I had bought this product a year or so previously and it was nowhere near as thick), but wanted a cheaper trade alternative. I called IW and told them that it was too thick and they informed me that they’d changed the make up of it. They then sent out a thinner version for me to try and I got on a lot better with! I struggle to find the unicorn trigger for BH let alone IW lol. Any advise is more than welcome! Great video 👌

A good fair comparison test as always, I've tried a few fallout removers over the years and korrosoll and Ironx would be my favourites, I did try Anglewax revelation once and found it next to useless. I deconned my white Fiesta a couple of weeks ago and used some High Definition Detail trade range fallout remover and was very impressed with the results, it did take a couple of hits as it was very badly contaminated. It will be getting a machine polish soon so I'll hit it with some korrosoll before hand and see if there's any contamination left.

Another great video. As the infinity fire is a gel like product for me it is the working time before problems arise I.e. drying out. @ashhunt3514 makes a great comment about the problems with it going through triggers .... would it be better with a pump sprayer ? Could it be diluted to assist in applying it to the surfaces.
@SuperchargedLlama

The dilution question is an interesting one, I have tried that with garage Therapy iron oxide in the past to make it thinner, but the efficacy dropped away far too much.
