If you are ever in Newport RI check out the Breakers it was George Vanderbilt's brother Cornelius Vanderbuilt II who had it built on 1895 Cornelius was Gloria Vanderbilt's grandfather.

Many years ago I went to the Biltmore. There was a horrible rainstorm and I was unable to see the Conservatory due to some glass roof panels had shattered. Beautiful Estate

Yup The Biltmore is something else, the grounds alone are spectacular! May I suggest you consider purchasing a KOA Value card...you earn points for KOA stays and then you get discounts off future stays. It is probably one of the few camping cards we use other than Harvest Host, which is another great outfit you would enjoy!
