I'm running the Rusty Butcher Lane Splitter version 2.... I push tissue into the front vents from inside & works awesome especially on those cold nights💪🇦🇺💪

Tissue is a good idea. I think used painters tape with a good result!

Shoei is hands down a better product man. Even the entry level rfsr is leaps and bounds better. But again it’s all slated to the price you wanna pay. Ruroc is another good company in the $400 range as well.

I was researching this helmet and...Boom...your video came up...nice. I was like, "Im subbed to this guy". Solid review. I just ordered a mate black lane splitter with mirrored shield. Ive been wearing a Gringo for a few years and wanted a visor and like the "retro style" of Biltwell. They do have a Pin Lock now. May look into that later. Good review man!

I'm also a (recovering) helmet addict. At one point I had 4 ruroc atlas along with several others (biltwell lanesplitter, gringo s, hjc rhpa11, Simpson, AGV....)

For a small woman like me, XS is the perfect size. I can’t test the helmet today because it’s raining heavily here in Germany. I am a little bit scared that you said it’s so loud so hopefully it won’t be bad loud. Thank you for your review 🤘🏻 I will definitely follow you.

Thank you so much for watching and the follow. Its noisy by my other standards really, but thats to be expected. Its about as loud as my Rurocs. Its very loud for a motovlogger but for the everyday rider I think you'll find it enjoyable. Let us know what you think!

For the price it definitely ain’t bad. I have a newer video out where I quiet down a Ruroc that applies to all helmets. So if you get one and it’s a it too loud, check that one out.

I'm in the market to get a new helmet and I appreciate the review, my old Arai is quiet so I'm pretty spoiled in that regard but a good summer helmet like this isn't out of the question.

Its a great summertime helmet. Again on the louder side but it will flow air.

Well, I like the name of it! Very cool sounding. I don't like the idea of the not being able to close the vent and the loudness factor. But I think it's nice to see what others think of different helmets. I'm not in the market just yet but want to have lots of options when I am looking for a new one. Thank you. Great video!

Thanks for the watch! I have had really great luck with all my Shoei's. If you are looking for comfort and quietness, they are a good way to go, just pricey.

I alredy bought the helmet, it should be on its way. I live in NC so it gets really cold in the winter. but I have a 3D pen and I'm planning to make a winter mod for the front vents

My Bell Broozer is also a very loud helmet. I have found without a windshield it's not bad. I adjusted the w/s on my softail now it's better. My Stratoliner w/s is not adjustable so I'm looking into a Laminar lip w/s deflector.

I ran a Laminar lip on my 1/4 fairing and it made it worse, I'm at a weird height I think though lol. Ive heard many more success than failure stories of the Laminar.

Great looking helmet. A lot cheaper than a Shoei. But do love my Shoei and the pin lock. You do have a helmet problem 🤣🤣. Take care 👊

I recently bought the Lane Splitter and haven’t used it yet because of the winter 🥶 but i do looking forward to wearing it this year riding season. I usually wear a beanie style helmet n they have no face protection at all. I bought this full face Biltwell over the Simpson helmet because of price and they basically look the same to me.

Heya Joe. You’ll def like this helmet. I mean heck I have two of them. It’ll def be more protection than a beanie and quieter no less. What I find cool with this helmet is if you were to go outside with it on now, you can feel the wind moving through it even while standing still. You’ll have to circle back and let us know what you think about it. And for the same reason I bought two of these things for less than one Simpson. Cheers mate!

I think the non closable vents is a issue for me, I do a lot of rain and cold weather riding and need to close them down.......JB..

I wouldn't try the Scorpion at all brother. I had tried the AT something in that digital camera and maaan it looked so cool.... But was too tight wasn't what I was hoping it to be. Even had a SENA installed with it. Both got returned 3 days later. Went with the Shoei neotec II...

I have an XXL football shaped head. Most every full face my teeth can touch the front. I haven't tried one of these, as a couple years ago, I found an ADV helmet that works (visor removed).

Nice look at a great helmet! I think I might get a second one in all gloss black. The only that took me time to get use to was how far the chin bar sticks out. Gets tough to look over the shoulder sometimes.

Don't buy it buddy. I have this helmet and though it looks cool, it's just not worth it just for the looks. It's so loud, the whistling noise at anything over 45mph will drive you crazy in a day of riding. I blocked all the vents with foam. Partly to stop the excessive air coming through and partly to see if the noise improved. It didn't. Also it squeaks. So weird that it squeaks. Mine is getting better but it still does when I move my head to look over my shoulder. Disappointed with it to be honest.

It seems like a really popular helmet but I'm not sure I could live with the venting setup. I tend to sweat easily so I like to be able to add a little airflow even on cooler days. Nicely done.

It’ll keep you cooler rather than making you sweat. The stop not having a vent is a little disappointing but the air through the mouth does generate a ton of air inside the helmet.

I'd rather use my brain bucket that I still have from being downrange...lol Maybe Ill use it when the breezy Arizona summer shows up!!!🤣🤣 But if it is that airy as you mention maybe I'll get one for the summertime here that we get 100+ degrees. If you ride hot this helmet is nice and I still ride an hour and a half in 108° outside. This helmet is loud af and slightly disappointing when it comes to listening to music. An easy fix for this would be a different neck roll design.

It really is loud as all get it. When I’m going on a quick scoot over 100 degree I might pop it on. Music would be impossible. I never hooked up coms to it.

I do like the looks of those helmets. I wouldn't mind the vents, I keep mine open all the time anyways. i wear earplugs all the time, so maybe the loudness wouldn't bother me as much.

I do love my lane splitter to do some country cruising. It’s is loud when you’re riding on the interstate. I do have one observation, on your white helmet, it looks like maybe your baseplate isn’t flush with the detent that it “clicks” into. It kind of looks like your visor is sitting a little proud on one side?

See photos to identify which shield you have. If the replacement Biltwell face shield you are preparing to install matches the shield you are removing from your helmet, you do not have to install the new baseplates provided with the new Biltwell face shield.
