Bimini Top Tube Eye End repair for boat

This is how I replaced the ends of the poles on the stainless steel frame for my Bimini top on my boat.

HI Brent, I h ave some tubes that came with my bimini top, it snapped off and I wanted to change it out for Taco fittings, the original is similar to yours. I was wondering if maybe there was another way to remove the fitting since mine did fall off. see my pic, its been a couple of years since you made this video.

I had the same problem only instead of the crimp all the way around, there are only two punch marks so I think I can just drill those out, slide a new one in and punch in a different spot to keep it from falling out. The pressure from the top will push the fitting in, so the crimps or punches only keep the fitting from falling out when the top isn't on.
