As 04/21/2019, IMPORTANT INFO!!! PLEASE READ FIRST before you purchase any of BimmerCode/BimmerLink product. For the new series (2018+) for example G05 or any G series. Please do NOT purchase this OBD device(Vgate iCar Pro Bluetooth 4.0) because some of the coding for the new G is require different/other OBD device. So, for the new G series (ex. G05) just purchase “UniCarScan UCSI-2000” direct from BimmerCode app OR “OBDLink MX+” from eBay. MAKE SURE MUST HAVE “+”!!!!!! Because MX and MX+ is 2 different OBD device. For any F series models is ok to purchase this iCar Pro. However if you are thinking to upgrade your ride in the future then I will suggest just get “OBDLink MX+” right now..... I’ve spent so much money and time to code my new 2019 X5(G05), so hopefully this comment can help someone by saving some time and money. Hope @Thic F30 can pin this comment or just add this comment as your video description. Thank you.

I bought the app to try opening the exhaust flap on my 2014 F15 MSport, it will open it, but once you turn the car off it closes. Do you have to re-open it every time you start the car?

DPF stands for Diesel Particulate Filter. In that’s screen you can do a “REGEN” which super heats the DPF (kinda like a CAT but for diesels) to get rid of the Soot and stuff out of it.

Sometimes the app just says "HA. no" and I have to unplug the adapter to make it work... What's more, flaps are closing after 10-15 minutes after you forced it open.

Damn you lol I bought my first bmw a 14 328i and because of your videos I've bought both the code and link apps and done almost all the changes freaking ran me $80+ but they're worth it, I went with the Rolls-Royce animation lol but all the changes were easy and awesome thanks for the vids!!!

Isn’t BL kind of a waste for opening the exhaust valve? You have to do it every time you start the car. You can’t just leave it open.

Hey there, does new battery registration work for changing battery profile? Im changing my dying stock battery thats 90Ah to aftermarket 80Ah. Wondering if the registration will change the value in the system

No. Battery coding is different from battery registration. Registration is for telling the car you are replacing with the same spec battery. For a different spec battery, you need to code the car for it. Bimmerlink does not do that.

Bimmerlink is for reading and clearing codes. Bimmercode is for coding in features.

I can't lie I ride with my active sound design on in my 328i lol. Right now it's set to sound like an m3 (corny i know). Once I either do a muffle delete or a whole new exhaust I'll turn it off.

Not sure I do believe my car came with a premium upgrade, but I didn't have to do anything to enable it. Then using bimmercode I was able to choose which sound profile I wanted.

You have to click on expert mode in active sound design on bimmercode. Once there to make it sound like an M3 you select F80 as the model # then for engine it's the S55B30. Then code it

Just tested BimmerCode with VeePeak BLÉ+ with my car e91 from 2006 and guess what happens when I connect it ? “Connection Error: The adapter is not suitable for use with this car.” BAM !!
