Does BimmerLink allow you to put the parking brakes in service mode?

Yes it does. You’ll see a button for it if you have electronic brakes. Mine doesn’t show the option because this gen M2 has a manual ebrake.

does the obd adapter have to stay connected when im driving?

Only if you want to see real-time data on the gauges/sensors. Once you complete any coding/diagnostics you can unplug it. I leave mine plugged in 90% of the time because I just forget about it.

Can the bimmercode app update your NAV?

I don’t believe so. There are some NAV functions in there related to activation codes or something like that, but nothing to update it. Again, I don’t think so but I could be wrong.
