Do you know Rahoul ? This Anarkali was the first ever film which i saw with my college friend’s and that was the time when i first tasted the freedom of college life , i was the youngest sister in our house and i had 3 brother’s among them two was elder than me and one was younger than me i think you can understand my condition in our family so i was so thrilled and delighted to see this film and it was so heart wrenching in the climax , then i was a 17 + girl and so emotional for that kind of girl the scene of Vina Roy when she was buried live under the construction made surrounding her and was singing the song “ Ye zindgi ushi ki hai , jo kisi ka ho gaya pyar mein hi kho gyaa , and last alvida “ i was in tear’s , so i knew her as Anarkali and also seen that , very very nice video and thank you so much for give them the respect they deserve 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Oh yes... One of most beautiful and graceful actresses of all times. It's so unfortunate that she didn't get enough opportunities as she got typecast because of her iconic role as Anarkali. I'm just imagining what a beautiful couple they must have been - she and the legendary Shri. Prem Nath. While he might have gained popularity by playing negative or supporting characters, you must be aware that he also started out as a leading man in his early days and he was a very handsome looking man. And like some of his other contemporaries like Shri. K.N. Singh, Shri. Ajit and Shri. Rahman, even he had a great personality and screen presence.

Bina Rai's journey has been captured so well in this video including all her notable films. Seen a few of them like Ghoonghat, Taj Mahal and Dadi Maa. Interestingly she was cast opposite Shammi Kapoor in Vallah Kya Baat Hain in 1962 which bombed very badly and no one quite remembers today. What an odd pairing!

Forgotten Anarkali ! No never ! How can we forget Binaroy a beautifull wonderfull actress. Her smile and acting is always rememberd. I have seen her Tajmahal Anarkali Durgeshnandini Ghunghat. Many heroins like Bina Roy ruled the Hindi cinema with their beauty during. 50's. Even without makeup they look beautifull.. ab khya bolu !

Bina Rai - The forgotten Anarkali Hi Rahoul, I was influenced by my mother into liking Bina Rai. She was an ardent Bina Rai fan especially the couple Bina Rai and Pradeep Kumar. I used to accompany her to the movies - that’s how I got to know the vintage actors of the 1940s and 1950s, because my mother would tell me their stories. Lataji formed a link to the various generations. I commented on the beautiful Bina Rai and her marital life with Prem Nath in another writeup, which I’m not going to repeat here. It was not a happy marriage. The three films Anarkali (1953); Ghunghat(1960), and TAJ MAHAL (1964) represent for me the guide-posts to Bina Rai’s career with Pradeep Kumar.. My mother totally bought the legend of Anarkali as portrayed by Bina Rai in Anarkali (1963), including her death by immurement. and rejected the “fiction” that was portrayed in Mughal-e-Azam(1960). She even visited Anarkali’s tomb in Lahore. Her logic was that if Anarkali was set free then who is in the mausoleum? But my mother is right about one thing. The love and romance between Prince Salim and Anarkali as portrayed by the beautiful Bina Rai and loving Pradeep Kumar feels real in Anarkali (1953)whereas in MEA (1960) it feels distant and resentful because Dilip Kumar and Madhubala were going through a breakup. The songs of Anarkali are direct, first person, and very good: music directed by C Ramachandra and sung by Lataji. In MeA, the songs are great but the only first person song “Humein Kash Tumse Mohabbat Na Hoti” sung by Madhubala/Lata with feeling, was cut from the film. Even “Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya: celebrated as a great song is an indirect song in which Madhubala extols the virtue of love. The slap by DIlip Kumar on Madhubala was real and stinging - the entire crew was stunned. In TAJ MAHAL (1964) Bina Rai and Pradeep Kumar re-enact the love story of Mumtaz Begum and Emperor Shah Jehan which culminated in the construction of the TAJ MAHAL. Who could forget the strains of “Jo Wada Kiya Wo Nibhana Padega“ from practically every radio in the land? I think that’s the last movie of Bina Rai I saw. I did see GHUNGAT(1960) but I don’remember the story. I hate when that happens especially since Bina Rai won the Filmfare Award, beating out Madhubala in Mughal-e-Azam. So, I’m going to see Ghunghat again.

This gave me goosebumps!! I love old songs & i like making reels on Instagram on songs ☺️ So around a week back I made a reel on Yeh Zindagi Usi ki Hai Jo kisi ka ho gaya from Anarkali.. I had a fair enough idea of Bina Rai ji.. but a lot of people said that they were hearing the song for the 1st time wherein I knew about its film tooo.. this is one of my all time fav songs..another one Jo Wada kiya woh nibhana padega is also my favourite.. but never knew that she was married to Prem Nath .. didn't know of 25k winning amount..interesting facts..thanks for sharing..your videos always leave mesmerizing impact !!

Frankly speaking I had not heard about Bina Rai, until I saw this video. She must have been very ambitious, she participated in a Talent Hunt which was organised in Mumbai, she went all by herself from Lucknow to Mumbai & won the event with Rs.25000/- in her purse. She was a hit pair with Pradeep Kumar people must have loved this on screen pair a lot, as both Anarkali & Taj Mahal were hits. Interesting to learn that she was the better half of the great Prem Nath. You have done an extensive research on Ms.Saini. It was a very nice & interesting video. The pictures that you shared too were all classics. A wonderful tribute to this early actress on her birth anniversary...Bina Rai. Wonderful Rahoul ❤❤

Bina Rai was very beautiful and looked pretty in Kali Ghata and Anarkali. Unfortunately her acting skills left a lot to be desired. Anarkali was a poor film,but did very well on the box office because C. Ramcharas outstanding music and songs. Similarly, Taj Mahal was an average film but ran well because of Roshan's sweet music. Also Bina Rai didn't deserve the Filmfare award opposed to Madhubala.
