Great video. I have one question. For the probability calculation you subtracted the exp(B) from 1. Shouldn't it be exp(B)/1-exp(B)? Unless I'm misunderstanding what you were talking about at that point.

What if my independent variable has 5 categories (not levels)? Which reference category should I use?

Hi Dr. Grande, will you be posting SEM?

Hi Dr. Grande. Thanks for sharing your knowledge on running logistic regression. I just have a simple question. In the video clip 8:13, you said to subtract 1 from 0.914 (OR of the variable motivation). I get that in your previous video, you subtracted 1 from the odds ratio if you wanted to change the reference value or the value of 1. But in this case, I believe we did not. Could you give an explanation for this? Thank you.

What do you do if the Hosmer and Lemeshow Test Chi-square is significant?

Good video. I do have a question. I am conducting a study using a dichotomous predictor variable, five dichotomous criterion variables, and a covariate that is continuous. I would like to know how I can use the binomial logistic regression in SPSS to analyze data? Please advise.

Dr. Would you also post video on multilevel logistic regression using SPSS and STATA?

Hello, I have a question about binary logistic regression. When we compute many predictor variables in the model for the outcome, how much does the values are affected compared to when we run separate analysis for the predictor variables???

Thanks for the explanation. I want to ask yo to; When we working in big data sets for example we have nominal predictor variable and total of 20 continues and dichotomous variable. How can we decide which variables we must include to the model. is this the right way to perform a chi square for each nominal variables, and t tests for continuous variables. Then include the significant variables to the model? thanks

Did you code your outcome as 0-not completed and 1=completed?

I have run many times BLR but I did not find significance values, how to check my data missing or not in good format?

Hi Dr. Grande, is this method also useful if I want to check a mediation effect. I have 1 IV: dichotomous 1 mediator: continous 1 AV: dichotomous Another question I have, how do you insert controlling variables? Hope to hear from you, Tessa

Dr Grande, I'm wondering, for this type analysis if a significant statistic required in for the Block 0 'variables in the equation' chi-square? (6:06) I have a similar result to yours, but I'm not sure if is acceptable. Will you kindly let me know? Thanks EVER so much for being such a generous teacher.

Hello Dr Grande, thanks for this video. How to do logistic regression when both variables are multilevel? and the number of levels in both variables are different? Could you kindly make a video?
