Italian and Irish were often together growing up the common bond was familial priority, liturgical structure, saints as confidential prayer warriors, and if a bully messed wth one the bully got the other to deal with too. You put potato and pasta together its a good thing, a very good thing, gnochi. Just like the two ingredients go well together the cultures did, too. Now, there are whole generation or two that are irish italian. Its beautiful. Lord Bless them, and you too.

These are my two favorite singers. How funny that I am Irish-Italian and never thought of the two of them as Irish and Italian, only each separate. Makes me even more proud to be Irish-Italian. Happy St. Patty's day tomorrow!

+Fortunata Pacheco That's not true. Ethnicity isn't just a birth status. It's about being part of a culture, or sub-culture, and maintaining that, along with a sense of identity for future generations. You aren't just born into an Irish or Italian heritage, if you are proud, you continue that heritage.

Totally agree but when you have traveled to America people Will say im Irish or Italian or any other European country and because they have great grand parents that come from these countries and drink Guinness or eat Pizza they believe that makes them so They have never traveled to these places and cant speak the language. People in Europe are amused by this.

As much success and undeniable talent as Frank Sinatra had, privately he greatly envied the two gents in this video for the one thing that he lacked, impeccable comedic timing. Comedic timing was something Bing and Dean honed to a knife's edge by working as straight men for two of the wackiest comedians in history, Bob Hope in Bing's case and Jerry Lewis for Dino.

If Dean had Sinatra's laser like focus and discipline as a perfectionist, he would have been the greatest vocalist of the 20th century.
@C0RRUPT3R Жыл бұрын
Agreed. 100% I think Dean tried to stretch out to not only music, but movies too, etc
@gibbsy82 Жыл бұрын
The fact that Dean didn't try to be "perfectionist" is why he was so great as a performer and singer. Frank was too stiff in his delivery.
@user-ez3fp6hu1v4 ай бұрын
As Dean famously said, he hated "guys that sing seriously", of course jokingly referring to Frank, but I think he also meant it. And btw, that's why Dean WAS the greatest vocalist of the 20th century.
