Thanks for this video. Lots of people like me need your experience and advice to make good choices when buying leather jackets and other menswear.

Hey Duds, An enormous fashion compilation of more than three hours. I "worked" myself now through about two hours. Congrats for this video, because it really hits literally all thinkable aspects of casual, formal and cool looks of mostly leather jackets but also other kinds of clothing. I can only say thank you very much! About purchasing used leathers, I have also my own experiences with ebay. I bought about seven years ago an incredibly sturdy and unbelievably cool used leather jacket from Vanson, a so called highwayman T-2, size 48. Very heavy but incredibly confortable and wearable in very cold winter conditions. - And my other used one is a very rare Schott's 115, which has also been produced in the mid to late 1980-ies with side laces and an interior liner. This one was even used very expensive, because it seems to have some kind of collectors status, as it has even conchos, where the lacings are. Are you familiar with the Schott's 115? - It resembles a lot to the beltless Schott 125 with side lacing, which is also in my collection, and I love them both. Peace and kindest regards from Switzerland.

Hey Willy thanks for the kind words. I’ve seen the 125 but not the 115. Sounds like a cool jacket with some Western biker vibes. Agree about Vanson’s sturdiness and excellence, would like to get a vanson back in my closet as I currently don’t have one. Perhaps a Comet but with shortened sleeves? The Arrow is also an interesting design. Have a good one!

Hey again, today I finally made it and watched the third hour of your epic amazing fashion compilation video. Great! So many very helpful details especially about leather garments. Wow, Duds! Thank you for your super work, where I could see and feel your genuine enthusiasm. For expl. what you said about Langlitz and their famous customer service is exactly what I had the pleasure to experience, when ordering my phantastic beautiful and incredibly cool Padded Pocket Columbia leather jacket with Sam Browne belt. And - best of all I only had to wait about three months for the arrival. Peace and go on rocking your leathers. Kindest regards from Switzerland

Del i would like to see you do a review of buffalo jackson leather jackets, master supply co. Daytona rust leather jackets, and territory ahead leather jackets, falcon bluff and their french dispatch rider jacket.

Would be nice to have em all together and compare too.

So I took a closer look at the jackets you mentioned. They all seem interesting in their own way, but they do have some clear signs that of cost-cutting. Looking at ebay the Territory Ahead jackets dont seem to hold their value well. Harder to tell with Master Supply and Buffalo Jackson they seem to do better but there aren't many listings.

Would love to see a review on the buffalo jackson legacy jacket. I’ve recently purchased it for $400. The leather is nice and thick, but I wonder what trade offs I’ve made by not spending more. I am still not ready for a $1000+ leather jacket 😂

To me, I’d rather buy a used jacket from another maker. According to their site appears to be lightweight leather (under 1mm thick) with a kind of mashup of different styles. If you’re happy with it, that’s the main thing.

what size would you recommend for a 6ft tall 170 pounds person? thanks!
@DudsByDel9 ай бұрын
Not totally sure. I’m 5’9” and 175. I imagine you’d want a longer jacket, perhaps smaller in chest. Do you know your chest measurement?
@natureins46449 ай бұрын
My chest measures 38". The key concern are my wide shoulders, I prefer at least 18.5" and the sleeves measured straight ~25".

The Thursday lambskin jacket is neatly constructed and it's an attractive price. But I can't wrap myself around the fit. It will never look better as it ages. You and I are exactly the same size--on you it's too boxy, too long, at best mediocre in design in comparison to the better designs (albeit from more costly makers). It's unfair to compare to the better Japanese brands, like TRMC or Rainbow Country, much less to Himel. That said, imo, that is no proper fit on you, particularly zipped across the chest. (And moving forward... who knew that there's a Milwaukee in Pakistan?) This is an excellent video, thanks for your thorough, serious takes. I too have a leather jacket obsession. Carry on.

Thanks man. I agree about the Thursday jacket. In many ways the video was an exercise on my part of trying to figure out why people are buying them 😂 Next up in that vein- Master Supply Co. I have a feeling it will be the hype story again but won’t know til it arrives

Aston leather jackets are great, for those that want a USA made high end jacket for something other than motorcycles. I don't understand why you always push jackets that look ridiculous when you aren't on a motorcycle. The jackets you seem to like are motorcycle jackets....perfect for someone who rides a motorcycle and a little weird for those that don't, i can't imagine buying a motorcycle jacket for everyday wear, they look contrived, awkward, bulky. but if you like wearing a motorcycle jacket around i guess to each their own.
@DudsByDel6 ай бұрын
Im into classic styles. I do lean heavy into motorcycle jackets but the Aero Highwayman and Rainbow Country Hercules are not motorcycle jackets. Perhaps you just have different interests but classic motorcycle jackets are worn in popular media and popular culture by plenty of folks
