Completely agree. Weekly viewing is more a compromise in order to get more variety and discussion, but you are left with medicore shows and some toxic behavior at times as a result.

Indeed. Another thing I had weekly viewers say in Facebook comments after I posted this video was the fact that they aren't willing to wait for a show to be fully released to be behind on the discussion which is part of that element of being pressured which I mentioned in the video. I mean, sure, I was anxious about not being able to start or talk about Steins;Gate 0 straight away with everyone else, but, now that I've binged it in full, I can say the wait was well worth it and I feel I got a lot more out of it than if I watched it with everyone else.

Spot on. The biggest issue i have with seasonal anime is its made everything seem so throw away now. Each season almost everything is thrown away the moment the next comes out. I've been around long enough to remember the days of £25+ DVDs with 3-4 episodes on. It made everything you did watch more meaningful as you had to be sure you liked it rather then just watching it because its the current thing just and you want to be part of the conversation on social media. It also made the shows that did stick around and have a fanbase more meaningful, rather then the bigger toxic fandoms we have today with popular show now.

Yup. Such were the days. Thanks for checking out the video. Glad you enjoyed it. Also good to know I am not the only person out there who still prefers to binge watch his anime.

Maybe you can look at it this way with weekly viewing you can get half a years worth of enjoying content from a 2 cour show it gives you something to look forward week to week but if you binge it yes it will be more enjoyable but it is over in less then a week and then you have to find something new to watch to satisfy your need for anime
