What’s the movie Clueless about?
Cher Horowitz (Alicia Silverstone) is a beautiful, wealthy and popular highschool student living in a Beverly Hills mansion with her rich dad Mel (Dan Hedaya), a grumpy but successful lawyer. Cher’s best friend, Dionne (Stacey Dash) is also beautiful and wealthy and dates Murray Duvall (Donald Faison), another popular student. After receiving a bad grade from a harsh teacher, Cher decides to play matchmaker and orchestrates a romance between her school’s two hard-grading teachers. Her plan ends up working perfectly and seeing the new couple enjoying their blissful relationship fills her with joy. She decides to keep using her skills for good deeds. Her next project? Transforming Tai Frasier (Brittany Murphy), the “tragically unhip” new girl, into one of the coolest girls in school. When Cher’s ex-step brother Josh (Paul Rudd) visits her during a break from college, he mocks her superficiality, pushing her to be even more selfless.

So true, the way they make her out to look a bit like a dumb blonde when she is actually really smart, I love the part where she outsmarted Josh's girlfriend in that one scene where he drove her home lol and all those things she did to improve her report card, that also took smarts to come up with all that. She gives me the vibes like she really good at strategy and those kinds of stuff which is really awesome.

The movie is based on Jane Austen's novel "Emma". The novel begins with the marriage of Emma's former governess with a suitable gentleman that Emma had introduced her to. She therefore convinces herself that she has a talent for matchmaking and sets this task as a kind of mission in her quite boring and easy life. She then takes on matching her new friend and things turn out not right, quite like the storyline of this movie. So this adaptation changes some details but the main story is the same. There are many movies of the classic Emma story.
