So I just saw the entire first movie and at the end it said that Billy was found and killed by Pat Garrett but there was also that one scene where Pat Garrett was asked by Billy if he was his friend Billy also made a point to turn around when asking him that question making the part where Pat grabs for his gun and then deciding not to shoot Billy seem all the more weird for him to decide later down the line to kill him, even if he becomes a sheriff. So my question for this movie is: is this a sequel and Pat Garrett didn’t actually shoot Billy or is this a prequel and we find out the real reason Billy ran in the first place when he met John and Doc
