Can we take a minute and recognize the epic musical score the Young Guns films had? The music in this scene is big enough to fill that canyon they are riding through.

Saw this at the theatre in 1990 I believe, love the first one better , but this sequel is almost just as good. I wish it stuck more to the true story but there are certain scenes that are true and really did happen , like the Kid escaping from the court house and shooting both deputies, the capture of Billy by Pat Garrett at the at stinking Springs, in the movie it's the part when Doc Scerlock gets killed . Young Guns had more true Events in it but ofcourse only about 70 percent true to the real events. Still great movies though.
@y2m2265 жыл бұрын
Historical facts took a left turn a lot earlier than Doc Scurlock being killed at Stinking Springs. First, Doc Scurlock and Jose Chavez y Chavez never rode with Billy the Kid's gang and lived a long life. Billy the Kid's gang was Charlie Bowdre, Tom Pickett, Billy Wilson, Tom O'Folliard (who was a year older than Billy and an original Regulator) and Dave Rudabaugh. But Young Guns 1 & 2 are still my favorite movies of all time

The only thing that bothers me about the young guns films is the differing portrayals of Pat Garrett. Different actors obviously but inconsistencies and a different character portrayed in each film. In the first Garret was an upstanding potential lawman, aloof and standoffish with Billy and has no real relationship with him and it was intimated that he set up the regulators to get trapped at the McSween house. We start the second and he’s Billy’s close friend, fellow outlaw and just as wild as Billy. The 2 portrayals just don’t tie in with eachother. Obviously they never knew they were going to make a sequel when Garret was portrayed in the first film but it’s such a change it just feels so off and is the only thing that lets the films down.
