Modern subs are covered in a thick rubber coating, usually glued panels (there was one where the glue failed and they mostly fell off at the cost of millions). It is to absorb sonar, which can be a billion times louder than sound on land. Loud enough they sometimes have to turn it down in less dense water or it just boils it for 10 yards ahead of them and they can't see anything.

Its not that sharks aren't dangerous, its just that you can easily avoid them by not going into the water with them! Its kinda like saying "well table saws are not dangerous" sure cause no one is just shoving their hand in them LOL They are still dangerous!! They can still kill you plenty easy enough!! They are not as aggressive as we thought tho, that's for sure.

@OmnieStar It's important to know as many people aren't aware. humans murder millions of Sharks per year. Whereas sharks are responsible for the death of SFA people, 12-24 pa out of an over population of almost 8 billion. Are you petrified of vending machines? Kill more people than sharks per year. Are you paralysed with fear of cows? Kill more people than 🦈 🦈 per year. How much time while driving a car are you calculating your risk of fatal crash? All FAR MORE PROBABLE than 🦈 attack. Keep up your dedication to consumption and pollution.
