Even though this is so much less entertaining than I remember from when I was a kid, watching media from the transition period between 16-bit and 32-bit eras still feels strangely exciting. (I do remember being very upset when Sega Power magazine announced they wouldn't be covering Mega Drive games any more and were rebranding to Saturn Power, but that did inspire me to defect to PlayStation when we could finally afford a new console so I guess it all worked out in the end.)

I met Violet Berlin when I was 12 when I was a contestant on Head to Head - in retrospect, not a great show. This probably my favourite of your videos yet. It brought back so many memories of talking about the new Jaguar and 3DO with friends and how amazing they were going to be. I've been in hospital for the past couple of days and your videos have really helped me pass the time. I wonder what some of the kids are doing now? I wish they'd do a Bad Influence special episode with the kids all grown up now, I wonder if Adam is still as brutally honest about the games 😀 Thank you for such a funny video, I didn't know what to expect at first and watched the first season over a couple of days after you had a guest spot on This Week in Retro. I'm glad I subscribed and I'm looking forward to passing the next few days in hospital chucking away at your great commentary 😀

It's brilliantly addictive. If you haven't seen the original you must watch this. The beauty of this show is you can just sit down and watch; and you'll never get bored of it because no two episodes are the same. Had it been original it would have gotten 5 out of 5. But because it's a commentary watch along, and part parody piece, our panel decided to mark it down by 1 and give it 4 out of 5. However I'll restore a star because I think the world could really use a laugh.

No, in 1990s gay still meant gay, but it's showbiz and it was being used in it's previous usage from the 1930s, where it still had a double usage. Also I had a friend who worked in UK TV and media, and there were a lot of drugs, a lot of drugs involved, mainly anything to keep people working long hours. And from what I hear, there still is. Also in the music scene, because driving you around London, giving you drugs, and getting women to do things to bands, gets them to sign really bad contracts.

He did go to the "dark side" by selling out the franchise for a cool 4 billion to a company who never did anything questionable and always kept things true to the originals, Disney. What stuff was there, would not fly at all today... Example one: Ad for the PSone was on three right pages. First page had a guy pointing a gun on another by a wall, shouting something in russian, you flipped and seen just a blood splatter on the wall, flipped again and "Playstation" logo. Example two: Duke Nukem with a recycle tattoo grabbing Lara by her hair, pointing a gun to her head and "Are you tired of her? Get rid of her!"... was an ad for a 2nd hand shop for games... Add to that long essays about "how drugs influence game creation", "How much fun is to kill nazis", "8 page analysis of the boobs and booties of any real life Lara models"...
