2:38 I was having one of those Bob Ross moments You know that feeling Where you're watching Bob Ross smear a blob of pink on his snowy landscape and think "this madman just ruined his painting", only to be proven wrong in a matter of seconds as the picture reshapes before your very eyes... ...I like your show Mr. Babish...

He really is the Bob Ross of the kitchen. Soft, deep and smooth voice, the occasional goof-up while admitting that accidents happen and that's okay, and his very consistent, very modest 'I'm not a professional' attitude while still being incredibly skilled at his craft.

Look up how to make the Danish food called "æbleskiver", this is 150 year old delicacy. It is similar to takoyaki in that way that it is made in the pan. However, you don't have all the fillings and it is served as a dessert. There are well rounded techniques for how to do this perfectly and make perfect spheres using a toothpick or something like a meat needle.

The fun part of becoming really poor at the beginning of the 2000s means that 2000s babies like me got to experience the Joys of the 90s becuase everything we owned was at least a decade. Let me one up you, fam. Grew up poor in the 90s to a computer repair father. I spent my early childhood building IBMs, playing on DOS and Apogee games (Jill of the Jungle or 688 Attack Sub anyone? We can play local co-op via modem!), and messing with boxes and boxes of scrap. We didn't own CDs, we borrowed them from the library when we were bored with our extensive cassette and VHS collection. Then when the parents divorced we became poor again in the 2000s. We downgraded from DSL to dial up, got our old Juno accounts hacked into, and I was barely able to rebuild our home cpu to handle watching StrongBad and NewGrounds in the pre-KZbin days. Those tracker balls were everything, until they ate the mouse pads.

For anyone serious about takoyaki: takoyaki pans get better with age. A fresh new pan will result in sort of lumpy (but still very delicious) takoyaki, and the older the pan gets and the more practice you get the smoother they will become. I personally love ebiyaki (the shrimp one) but my girlfriend loves takoyaki because of the octopus. If you're ever in Japan try as much street food as possible, its all really good quality. Just be sure to take a seat or stand around while you're eating or drinking because they consider eating while walking rude typically. Also don't litter and be prepared to wait a while to find a trash can to throw away any garbage

I watched the first like 3 episodes of that in high school with a friend and it inspired me to try eating a baked potato with my hands like she did. I kinda recommend it, it's a weirdly satisfying way to eat a potato, somehow it doesn't need any butter or anything when you just pick it up and bite into it like an apple.

here’s some tips in case you are planning to make this!! - you can also use a cake pop maker if you have one (or just make one big pancake; it’ll be crispier if you make it like that) - use skewers instead of chopsticks bc they’re thinner, so it’s easier to poke and flip it around!

The new season (and all seasons) of Jojo's Bizzare Adventure are on crunchyroll. The 3rd season they travel all over the world (between Japan and Egypt at least) and sample several different dishes. There's an episode in Season 4 entirely dedicated to a small Italian restaurant that opened up in the small town of Japan the season is set in. The chef makes a multi-course meal, and he claims that he can make meals specifically tailored to cure all the ailments of the person who eats them (in this case african mineral water, bruscetta, spaghetti alla putanesca, and lamb with applesauce), the whole series in general is a fun, and entirely bizarre (as advertised) watch.

Tip: Don’t get Tabayaki at a restaurant as it’s most likely store bought. This is almost 100% true if the item says “fried tabayaki” in it. Just a reminder! If you really wanna enjoy this delectable treat then just go and buy it yourselves (not sure where but you can most likely find it on line or something idk)
