Hi! Ella's mom, here. There are no words to explain how much this trip meant to my family, but most importantly, to Ella. Ella has watched Binging with Babish during every hospital stay, every doctor's appointment, for over a year. Andrew is the reason Ella wants to own a bakery when she grows up. His show has kept her distracted, occupied, and actually laughing while recovering from major surgery. We've cooked so many fun meals together inspired by recipes from his show. It just hit me one day that I needed to tell this person how much of an impact he had made on our lives. I need to tell you a little more about this trip than what you see in the video. We were with Andrew, Vinny, Sawyer, and the rest of the BWB Family until after 10pm. The whole BWB team was so friendly and welcoming. They kept us laughing. Just genuinely kind people who wanted to help make a little girl happy. Tyler and I had a blast. Milly and Ella got to sign autographs and be "famous" for a night. Ella followed Andrew around all night, and he was so patient with her. He had an obvious obligation to meet and talk to his fans, who bought tickets to meet him, but he made time to sit and talk to her about life and anxiety and things most kids her age don't think about. About a week before we went to Nashville, Ella said, "Mom. You know who my favorite person is? It's Binging with Babish. Do you think I could meet him one day?" I had to lie and say probably not, but the surprise on her face was so worth it. Ella kept saying, "This is the best day of my whole life." We are so thankful.

12:15 That hit me right in the feels goddammit. Even though I'm still growing up I know how that feels, I've always wanted to be a professional chef. I got the opportunity to work with my mom in a catering kitchen she was working with at the time when I was 5 or 6 and I still think about that with all the cooking I do today. Even though I didn't have a foodworker's licence and didn't do much other than chop and prep veggies all day, I can still look back and say that that was a turning point in my life. I hope that she has 20/20 hindsight and can look back on this in the years to come; and from the throne of her baking empire-to-be, can wield that tiny wisk with gratitude and show someone else how it feels to have a hero in a time of need. KZbin needs to give you an award for this because it's the best video of the year. Ella is a very beautiful & strong young lady. Not many people can say they got to meet their idol so I'm glad Ella can happily say she got to meet hers. I'm also glad that 100% of the proceeds went to Ella because everyone deserves a chance change & to be happy. All the happiness from a sad story made my heart weak. Ella has a smile that can light up a galaxy. I really hope she gets her own bakery when she grows up. Good Luck & Happy Healings to Ella! You're an inspiration to even grown-ups. Keep smiling & stay strong little princess. The world loves you. Thank you to Babish for making the dream of a little princess come true.

I have to add that I also use your show to manage my health issues. I have chronic pain & so sleep can sometimes be elusive. Your work keeps me from getting frustrated & keeps me occupied & keeps pain in the background. Thank you.

I'm watching this a bit late, but coming from someone who has been in the same situation as her, being in and out of hospitals most of my childhood, this was beautiful. This little girl is so sweet and such a badass and I so hope she gets to be a baker someday. Thank you to Andrew for having done this for this family.

I just wanted to let you know how that particular episode really got me in the feels. The look on her face when you presented the tiny whisk, genuine happiness. What a deserving, strong, cup half god damn full kid. Admire how you touch people, aslo admire how you give back. Truly selfless my good sir, hats off to you and the crew. Keep it up, there are still good people out there.
