Am I going to be the only one to say he picked the most complicated way to make a grilled cheese. “here’s the blowtorch”. And putting one half in then the cheeses torch then add the second half and flip. Seems counterintuitive since if you just put the cheese between the slices the top sclice holds in the heat before the bottom is grilled and you don’t need the torch. Benefit of the doubt flip it twice for extra melt…

Has been asked before and is still pointless. Theoretically every recipe should be just as fast at home - except that restaurants can and will start things like stocks, sauces, their mise en place and often times stews and the like way in advance. So you won't beat them since they already started cooking yesterday and did their prep work in the morning. I also don't see the point of trying to be faster than a restaurant. You are paying for their optimised workflow and might only beat them by compromising on taste.
