From someone who's family has been regulars at Fiore's for decades, and I mean that literally, both parents grew up in Hoboken and weekly family trips were a staple, next time you wanna make this, drench the bread itself in the gravy. Or when you visit Fiore's again, just buy their sandwich as is (completely get why you ordered them all separate in the video-to reconstruct it), cuz they soak their sandwich bread in the gravy so much the bread color becomes a dark brown. It's truly magical. Love your videos, my entire family was so excited to hear you mention this beloved deli.

A Sous Vide is easier to acquire than a deli slicer and is more versatile in the home kitchen. Both have been done without their respective device, but cutting meat thinly is easier than maintaining water at a consistent temperature for several hours while you do other stuff. I feel like I sound a bit like a pretentious asshole and that was not my intent and i'm sorry if I seem pretentious and/or like an asshole.

So I had a craving for a roast beef sub tonight. Remembering this episode I rewatched it. Due to my time constraints and inability to roast a joint of beef nor make au ju, I made a 'prototype' of it with good ole boarshead London broil RB and made a cold sub. So making it as otherwise stated, is definitely one of the best RB sammiches I ever had. So I can't wait to make my own mozz and RB from scratch and make this.

Gotta say I think the sammich from the show is based on the roast beef from John's deli in Brooklyn. The dipping sauce is like delicious motor oil. Either way glad you did this TV food classic
