I also just want to point out. In the scene where they’re eating banana cue and soda from a plastic bag (which is very Filipino), the mural on the wall also has elements of the Philippine flag. The sun and the three stars. Love it!

Thanks for the rv, Kurotani. There are several references to Filipino culture in this video, particularly about the food. Besides the banana cue, there's the pandesal (the bread being dunked on coffee then eaten by the baker), which is a breakfast staple. Then there's also the halo-halo (the one from which Mikha took the cherry topping). Normally, cherry is not put on top of this popular dessert but rather ube (purple yam) ice cream, leche flan (a local custard) or both.

They're eating Bananacue (Deep Fried Bananas with carnalized sugar) very staple street food in the Philippines xD And the drink are basically Soft drinks in plastic and straw cause street stores collect bottles to recycle to they transfer it to plastic bags made for drinks xD

What they eatin'? It's called bananaque. A banana in skewers. A famous food in Southeast Asia (esp in Philippines). What they drinkin'? It's a carbonated drink poured inside a small plastic. Commonplace again in Ph and other Southeast Asian countries.

The food they eating is called bananacue bro, it's just banana coated with caramel then fried, and the drink on the plastic with a straw is just soft drinks , Filipinos love to transfer the drink from its container to a plastic bag so they don't have to go back to the store to return the soda bottle😅
