Hi. I think in the final answer, it must be -270x^2y^3 not -270x^2y^2. or was I wrong? But thank you for the video. :)

can u do a video where there is a term in front of the x e.g (3x^2+5y^7)^34
@MathHacks5 жыл бұрын
Hello there! Yes, that is a wonderful question, and I’ll add it to my future film list. To answer your question, you’ll basically just group the coefficients on x and y in parentheses and apply the powers and multiply by the binomial coefficients (from Pascal’s triangle or the combinations formula) as you would normally like in the example in the video. I have a written tutorial on my blog that applies the binomial theorem to a binomial expansion with a coefficient on x that might help you out although it’s still a simpler example than the one you suggested (link.medium.com/aUsWKtjIkV ). Hope that helps! Thanks for watching Math Hacks!

Sorry but I think you made a mistake in Pascal's triangle. 8:57 you said that we have to add however you wrote 4+4=10? And 3+3=4? Shouldn't it be 8 and 6? Correct me if I'm wrong...? Although the six row is correct and the answer is correct too I think...
@MathHacks5 жыл бұрын
Hi there! So when you make the Pascal’s Triangle you add the two numbers from the row above (where I drew the pink lines) so for example you’d add 4+6 and 6+4 to get the 10’s in the last row I wrote out. The 4’s come from adding 1+3 and 3+1 from the row above. Let me know if that’s what you were questioning and makes sense! I do make a little transcription error later in the video, which I correct at the end... hope that helps. Thanks for watching!

@@MathHacks oh god I'm so sorry! I get it now! I'm sorry I mistook 6 as 4. I'm literally sorry for troubling you. Thank you though for making it clear to me. (*Apologizing again*)
