So about vikings. They can't fire while moving like the phoenix, they don't have the pure stats of the corrupter, and against the void ray as you saw they melt. What's important is the massive range of the viking. Though I imagine the more you win the less you'll see mass void ray but in this case there wasn't a need to heavily micro your marines. Getting them balled up on the ramp is less than optimal but just hit T now and then and you have them microed. The vikings was what needed the attention. Use the range to poke at them, force them to go over your mass of marines to attack the vikings. Keep up the good work.

I really see improvements in your macro, you have a clear idea of throwing down new CCs and production structures when you flood money. Also, very nice that you look for hidden bases since it is suspicious that Protoss stays on two bases all that time. One advice: at 12:08 in the video, you just killed his hidden base and you are four bases against two. Do not feel forced to take a bad fight by attacking his ramp protected by cannons where he can concave your marinerz. This is a mistake I do as well sometimes: do not feel forced to do damage when you are economically ahead. If he's defensive, be economic (more bases, more upgrades, more barrackses). If he's economic, be aggressive. If he's aggressive, be defensive. Again: at 12:08, he's the one that has inflict damage. Even if you don't stim the ramp defended by cannons, if you eco up every minute that goes by is a minute good for you: your workers access fresh minerals while his two bases go dry, and finally he will be forced to attack you in the open space where your mariners do quick work of void rays and carriers (extra tip of the day: void rays suck against mariners: the beam upgrade has bonus damage against armored units only). Thanks man. That’s really kind of you to say. I think the best thing I’ve learnt / started doing is thinking more about trading efficient, production, and supply. Has massively changed the way I play. I realise that might be basic stuff, but putting it into practise has been fun

Marines are a Good counter against voidrays and tempest But they are really Bad against carriers

I think by the time o saw the carriers It was too late to not push and I was comited. I could have popped a few vikings into production tho for sure

Still building cyclones against air units? Ollie build thors they are great anti air. They also have 2 modes: the first one(the starting one) deals area damage so use it against stuff like mutas. The second mode does massive damage to single target units, so use that against void rays, carriers, bcs tempest and so on

I think when I see mutas, panic and build anything that shoots up. What I think I need to do is get an armoury earlier in my process
