That's actually an inspirational story. More power to them. I doubt it's very many people in the West truly understand the convenience than the ease that we have nor do I believe they could exist the way these folks do keep a positive attitude. Especially these younger generations they are so spoiled and feel so entitled. It would be a great thing if at the age of a Junior high student they were sent to places like this to live for a year. Having an account for one year's worth of schooling so they wouldn't be held back because of these experiences would be extremely enlightening for them. They can go back home and feel a greater gratitude for what they have here.

Even in rural India, 5 years ago, most households were using wood as fuel for cooking. This situation is slowly changing now. India has a big target for bioethanol and solar energy to achieve by 2030. India also has a policy for electric vehicles. Indian PM has a goal to make India a developed country by 2050. A hope for a clean and green India is still alive. 🇮🇳

They are again using biomass thanks to the bearded hypocrite Modi who is raising prices uncontrollably and has also removed subsidy.

the corruption of the Indian IAS and the industrialists that own your government will prevent India from achieving its goals - whatever they may be in whatever sector...

in malmo, sweden the inhabitants are provided with special brown paper bags to put food waste into after separating it from the other trash. there are specially designated containers all over the city and near housing to then dispose of the bags. lorries collect the bags of food waste and take them to be processed into biogas, which replaces fossil fuel based energy supplies. the whole community gets involved and malmo has one of the most diverse populations on the planet. this should be implemented everywhere but malmo municipality should be used as a role model to ensure implementations elsewhere are equally successful. people are now also wasting less because they better understand the value of food, especially in light of hunger crises around the world. as a result wasteful spending is also reduced. the benefits of a circular economy tends to snowball and really it's a no brainer.
