The main reason Jp Morgan backed off and didn't support Tesla's project was once he knew Teslas intention to provide free wireless energy to people of the world in which he stated as a gift to people of Earth. Also Morgan feels the proposal of free energy would be a disaster to his copper industry as copper is major conductor of electricity. Greedy Jp Morgan didn't see any profits in investing in Tesla's project as its like one sided investment with no returns, also the expenses of maintenance of Tesla's tower also known as Wardenclyffe towe. To clear Tesla's debt Jp Morgan even ordered demolition of Tesla's tower as retaliation.
