Biography on Gaston D'Orléans - The Brother Of Louis XIII: Gaston of France, Duke of Orléans was born on April 25, 1608 in the Chateau de Fontainebleau and died on February 2, 1660 in Blois Castle. He was a son of King Henry IV and Maria De Médicis, and thus a prince from the French royal house of Bourbon and the younger brother of King Louis XIII.
Gaston carried the titles Duke of Anjou (1608-1640), Duke of Orléans and Chartres and Count of Blois (from 1626), Duke of Montpensier and Saint-Fargeau (from 1627), Duke of Valois (from 1630), Duke of Alençon and Baron von Amboise (from 1646).

Gaston certainly was busy. I can see why the Cardinal didn't want him to remarry so his niece had a chance to be Queen but you'd think Louis XIII would have married him off just in case he never produced an heir.

If you are referring to Anne Marie d'Orléans or “Le Grande Mademoiselle”, yes, I belive that at some point in time there were talks for her to marry her first cousin, Louis XIV
