At 23:40 the B cells stay at the lymphatic node and from there produce antibodies. It would be more efficient, like 1000 times more efficient, if they like the T cells go to the infection site and THERE produce the antibodies.

Just to give you a legit answer this time, since last responding, I have read that effector Plasma cells DO travel to the site of infection to secrete antibody while a smaller subset of the B cells will migrate to bone marrow as memory B cells. So it appears that other instructors are teaching that the activated Plasma cell is at the site of infection...

Maybe this way the body also makes sure that in case there are multiple sites of infection with the same pathogen, that all will be taken care of. As a bad comparison kind of like you normally do a complete PC scan after you had a computer virus detected just to make sure it is really clean now? But this is just an educated guess of mine...
