Surrounded by apes at the Gibbon Conservation Center in Santa Clarita, California, this tiny house on wheels is perhaps in one of the most spectacular locations we have ever visited.
Biologist Gabriella Skollar lives and works at the centre where she studies these incredible and beautiful yet sadly endangered animals.

Now this is what I love about your channel... It's not just about the tiny home. It's about the reason behind it and the person inhabiting it. Gabby is a treasure of a person who has forged her place in the world doing what she loves and building everything else around her mission. Loved this video.

I loved this! It's just so perfect. She is where she wants to be, in the space she wants to be, in the job she wants to do, doesn't waste time to get to work, doesn't spend any money to get to work and not to mention she hasn't paid rent in at least 8 years! Now I'm jealous! If only I could make things work out like that, I wish her all the best! And I wish to sort out my life like that too.

This tiny home was quite different in many ways. It not only reminds what tiny house represents, which is passion to be who you are, but also solving problems. This house is practical, not a vacation home. She really looked happy with her place and that is what really matters. It is not a house to show off your friends. It's a peaceful sanctuary of things she loves and animals she wants to be close to. Best wishes.

This was one of my favorite tours. She is such a special person. I love her outdoor decorations of stone and stick collections. Places and people like this make me feel at home. I also like her lil Vietnamese hat. My mom has the same kind :D I just bought palm-free peanut butter. Ingredients: organic peanuts. A lot of people avoid this type of peanut butter because the oil separates, but all you have to do is stir it the first time and keep it in the refrigerator, and it doesn't separate.

Peanuts are toxic, organic or not, palm oil or not. They contain high levels of fungal aflatoxins. And peanuts are not nuts, but a legume. Any which way you cut the peanut butter, it is a BIG no no.

Thank you, Gabby, for the marvelous and important work that you do. There isn't any work more important than Conservation. It is so painful for me to think about all the species of plant and animal life that ARE NO LONGER. I am soooo grateful to you, not only for all that you do ... but also BECAUSE IT IS YOUR PASSION! (I am so NOT a science person, so I am profoundly grateful that YOU ARE!!). I believe we ALL need to discover the thing that lights us up, makes us tick, puts a 'tiger in out tank' ... and that, if we all spent time discovering what it is that we love and began moving in that direction, the world would transform.

This is not what I was expecting...l figured a tiny house by a river, but as soon as I saw what it really was, l just started crying... I love design, artwork, architecture, history, but my #1 passion was/is/will *always be* Animals. I am the one who would happily bring my horse in the house or sleep in the barn, lol! Of course I don't have a horse, l live in a highrise, but omg a tiny house surrounded by Animals, Animals l can help, wow, at nearly 63, l could die happy there right now! Next lifetime l don't care WHAT anyone tells me, l *am* going to be a Veterinarian & save Animals. What a purrfect nature home-- shells, rocks, wood, all the bits of beauty you want to be surrounded by. Now, I myself have 3 same size bookcases lined up against my entrance wall- but l have a 1-bedroom apartment! Never ever have l seen as many books as l have in a TINY HOUSE, omg l am gobsmacked for words... Her red desk is so functional for her needs. It's nice to know l am not the only one who comes home with treasures in my pockets that end up on my shelves! I live beside a river but I actually have rocks from Kingston, Ontario; Petite Riviere, Nova Scotia and from Jamaica, worth sooo much more than trashy plastic souvenirs! Personally I would never remove the kitchen, but she did what she needed. I thank her for her love, care and dedication to our tiny innocent cousins. The problems all Animals on Earth face is humans & the things we do, the problems we create for Nature. At least this young woman is leading a noble life by helping to repair *our* damages.👍🏻👏🏻🤗💖 Wishing her success beyond riches!!🍀🐾🌈☮️🇨🇦

Gorgeous place and gorgeous space. I love the true tiny nature of this house, and how it harks back to the beginnings of the movement (when tiny houses actually were tiny). Fuels the fire for my own plans with my 12 ft trailer here in Oz. Thanks Bryce! Love your work mate!

Bryce, Welcome to the States! I have enjoyed your eastward journey and - until now - loved the visits around Japan the most. Especially where you were visiting the snow monkeys, which I had never seen before your video. What a beautiful adventure to share with us. This one in Santa Clarita with the gibbons is absolutely charming and it is obvious that Gabriella Skollar is the most passionately dedicated person you have interviewed, which is saying a lot since you find amazing people. Her lifelong work with these gibbons is so quietly performed, yet is a true blessing from God that she is such a special caretaker of these special creatures. Her tiny house is so inspiring for me and answers several question on how to make a necessary transition to a much smaller home. I love the books! After seeing so many homes where the occasional volumes appear to be decoration, it is awesome to see someone who is committed to her work, yet who finds refreshment in the actual and printed written word. What a wonderful woman: gibbons, their songs, printed books, and her cat. She is a visionary. Your joy in sharing the stories of others who have made this journey to very small or tiny home is heartwarming and always a pleasure to when the newest one arrives. Thank you so much for you work and the generosity of spirit in which you and your partner create these lovely videos.

Great video.loved it.. ardent fan of Bryce, especially because every time you visit a home you make the home owner feel so warm and acknowledge the details of the house, you also have an assortment of comforting adjectives which you use to describe the house when you step in,which comes across as so genuine.frankly i would love it if someone entered my home and praised it. the awkwardness that the owner feels immediately vanishes with that praise.super job you are doing.also all your tiny house videos have inspired me to love my small kitchen and home.
