your videos are really helpful. do you have any videos linking bio mechanical frames of reference when using MOHO? Thanks

You're very sweet! I had no idea that people were watching my little videos I made for class! I have not yet made a video integrating biomechanics and MOHO. I will have to consider doing that!

So I am confused what's the difference between rehabilitative and compensatory frame of reference if the rehabilitative includes a compensatory approach?

Still dont get what a biomechanical refrence frame is

Almir, are you an occupational therapist? The biomechanical frame of reference is an approach to assessment and intervention that uses the theoretical perspective of physics applied to human movement. For example, if an OT is testing range of motion, they are using a biomechanical approach. Applied theoretical perspectives allow OTs to make assumptions about what is wrong and what will help a person get better. They are based in evidence from research that shows what will work to help the person. So, if you are trying to make someone's range of motion better, you would test it with a goniometer, then use stretches and exercises proven to improve range of motion in persons with their diagnosis. OTs would then apply the range of motion gained to what the person wants to do, like use the computer or drive the car.
