Very interesting... I suggest bee farmers should keep a large space for growing mycelium and track the health of their colonies !! Heres a thought too... Healthy bee colonies using mycelium in their diets might pay off up the food chain too, the honey they produce will likely contain the same enzymes and pass the benefits to us with both antibacterial and antiviral qualities. We can take the bees control data as food for thought as well, a high sugar diet ruined their health, the trend in our own diets suggests the same for humans.

The spirit of goodness shall survive! I've always known that human beings are the dumbest species as they need to 'explore and prove' what is naturally known within us. Never once have I doubted that plants, fungi and other species communicate with, for and amongst each other and never once have I denied that I feel connected to each and every living creature. How can we doubt the importance of any life? Life is energetic, magnetic and reliant. Love Vicki xox

First and foremost..Love the work! I'm looking to clean up the land around my house to grow a garden. My main concern is Lead. Followed by oil/ radiator fluid. Also if growing a fungi will save the bees I'm defiantly in. What should I do? More specifically where can I get the right Mycelium?
@dchambers9868 жыл бұрын
The motor oil and other petroleum related fluids will break down pretty quickly in a normal, wet climate. Lots of stuff (bacteria) eat it in the soil. Lead is a different matter. As a heavy element, once it's in a particular environment, it will have a tendency to migrate down but is probably persistent. Unless you have a reason to believe there would be an excessive amount of lead, I wouldn't worry about it too much. If you do have such a reason, I don't know how much it can be picked up into plants/veggies, etc... but I would look Lead Testing Kits, I bet those are available. Otherwise, you might try your state's farmer extension agency and/or Dept. Of Environmental Quality - with the recent incident in Flint, I suspect you would get a serious hearing and hopefully some help.

Clarifying questions: @ 19:38 test results seem to indicate that a ~10% extract of Ganoderma Resinaceum is most effective for reducing viral loads for honey bees. @ 20:23 it seems that the survival rate of honey bees drops below that of the control between 14-34 days, when using a ~10% Ganoderma Resinaceum extract. Does anyone know of an online source for Ganoderma Resinaceum? Paul Stamets seems to only sell Ganoderma Lucidum. Is it worth it to use ~10% Ganoderma Resinaceum extract (over the control or another extract concentration) to reduce viral burdens, only after 34 days, once the survival rate is above that of the control? Would it be more beneficial to just use a ~1% solution, which, according the data displayed at 20:23 has the greatest longterm benefit to survival rates, at the expense of the greatest viral load reduction? Is there more data on using a ~10% extract to reduce viral loads, ideally with longer testing periods than 2 weeks? Does anyone know if any testing that's been done, with available data, showing the results of using combinations of these fungi? Red Belted Polypore, Amadou (Fomes Fomentarius), Chaga (Inonotus Obliquus), Red Reishi (Ganoderma Resinaceum), and Metarhizium Anisopliae? After looking at a study about using Metarhizium Anisopliae to reduce mite populations. It seems as thought the best method for most mite destruction with minimal honey bee destruction is using Metarhizium Anisopliae in powdered form, sprinkled atop and between the frames, for a maximum of 7 days, at a concentration of 10^8 conidia mL^-1, and only in the Autumn and Spring. Anyone else have related insights to share? www.scielo.cl/pdf/chiljar/v69n4/AT09.pdf Hopefully, I can start using this info on my hives in California soon! Paul Stamets, you're a champion.
