Wow! This is life-changing, exciting information. Outstanding. It makes me want to become a mycologist. Thank you Paul for your incredible contributions to our health and to our safety. Discoveries like this keep me from losing hope. Nature has answers. We just have to have people open minded and smart enough to put the puzzle together. It's funny that when you look at mushrooms out in nature often our first reaction is to be turned off by their appearance. Who knew they were doing so many important things? I guess you can't judge a book by its cover as they say. Just be careful not to pick the wrong ones and eat them!

Not only do we need the mushroom species, but we need to preserve THEIR food source(s). And dang, we all know that the whole mycelial biosphere speaks to itseself. It's not like one thing can take off without the WHOLE thing . . . it's not too late. That's the good news. Since the whole biosphere is also contained in any tiny piece, we're all OK.

The zen question is, if a tree falls in the woods and nobody is there to hear it does it make a noise? it is a word pun playing on the subjetivenes of words, and the fact that our words for noise are subjective to the being hearing the noise, therefore no the tree does not make a noise as noise is subjective

@spencerstephens75944 жыл бұрын
Someone please give me a good argument why this idea I just had is only paranoia. Hearing and seeing the mushroom that attracted the ant, infected the colony, and committed genocide, I get the eerie feeling we might be being tricked the same way. The ants love the narcotic. We love the psychedelic. The ants immediately share the mycelium. We immediately share the mushroom. The ants get played because the mushroom decides so. The humans get played because the mushroom decides so. Why do we trust this thing? I suppose there's not a concrete reason to trust anything and we are just going off our intuition. And as I subscribe to the stoned ape theory, I suppose if something gifts you life you ought to honor it. Never mind I answered my own question. I think the stoned ape theory is a pretty good singular piece of "evidence", if you believe in it, that this is a remarkably net positive symbiotic relationship. In fact the only positive things come to mind when I think about the effects mushrooms have on us and the world, so mistrust fits the definition for paranoia, even if there's a slim chance it is warranted... but what if Ive already been hijacked and thats what the mushroom wants me to think!?!?! Jk have a good life friends.
@Francesco-cj3oi4 жыл бұрын
Although there are similar patterns accross every scale of the universe, you can't expect the same effect to happen on an ant and a human being, i think it's too big of a difference in size and complexity. When we take mushrooms we take like what, a few grams? That's enough for our organism to metabolize and not be dangerous, I think

Hey I've got a problem with the government and its alteration of the genome. And paul I would like have you answer . My corn has no worms but the bees are gathering the pollen as if bacillus thuringiensis does no harm to the bees. Do you have information or study that one must not be disturbed that transgenic pollen is safe for bees and when ingested the bacteria has no harm to beesxand the endotoxin that other toxins expired is selective to cause no lethal harm and is safe for bees? . Mr prove to me I need not be concerned that it is safe. Cause if you are concerned must truth and study be revealed or is the us government the abuse of power that needs immediate action. What about bees? Will they have no impact? The bees are on corn pollen and they come back so ??????? Answer as I need reassurance that calling the father of freedom a slave owner is wrong and I take offense to what we are taught in amerikkka especiallyvwhen the usa is a wasteful war mongingcevil empire that puts profitcahead of science and technology which the citizens are not in need of saying we are killing survival and that the problem ofxspecie extinction is the worst truth of future generations reality and corruption in education is so wrong to act as if the people have real leaders to protect all species.when the carbon and not the energy and the heat is seen as the problem and the natural buffering of energy is stored in bonds but we have released the energy and act like carbon is the problem show us data that carbon heats and energy takes natural rates of buffering and ignorance of the problem is such that when you have the same energy budget changing the carbon or a thing as if green energy does the same as the energy and it is not the carbon and someone said the carbon and not the energy is such that when trees absorb energy and store it that considering the bees if it was the problem well look at the a visit that excess anything results and tell me I am wrong to say that if the carbon did not have a natural atmospheric cleansing of the above normal that we are in trouble because as long as the carbon is seen as the problem the amount of energy humans use plus nature turn your heater in your car with the windows close and tell me the heat is ok from the excess energy and what carbon sequestration from global clearing of the net primary productivity is alarming vfc prove to me that scientist understand thermodynamics? Fuck bigoted national defense get rid of weapons and militaries paul dont clap for the plutonium that the fires rain into monocultural biggotedcrascistvwhitexsupremacy freedom and slave reparations are such that corruption and ignorance make less for species to clean up what usa kills.
