1, wasn't a tourament, that was kini-nui, the rahkshi were attacking them. 2,that was jaller, the captain of the ta-koro, he was dieing from over dose of fear from the turahk. 3, Jaller was takua's best friend(takua later brings him back to life, and even further later he becomes a toa(inika/mahri))
