The stop motion is truly breathtaking. Like wow, this is probably the most life-like I've seen Bionicle figures animated, and the amount of details in any given scene - weapons moving, number of characters, etc. - is really astonishing. I can't even begin to imagine all the work you put into this, for a toyline that ended nine to ten years ago at that. It was fun seeing how you reinterpreted the Mask of Life saga from the original. The inclusion of the minifigures and comedic elements were implemented extremely well. Though I still long for a Voya Nui/Mahri Nui/Karda Nui trilogy properly realized, this was a blast to watch on its own, and was a great play on the whole multiverse-schtick Bionicle had during its later years. And of course, that final battle. I do kind of wish every character and set from the Mask of Life trilogy could've been included here, but it was still so very awesome as it was seeing the different heroes and villains from the various eras uniting against mad king, hyperpowered, Dark Souls Vezon. Plus, the music, sounds effects, and animations during all that were superb. The only real critique I have of that scene was that the jumpy camera made it hard to tell what was going on and appreciate the little details during the battle. Immense applause for this movie. I loved this whole thing.

alright after watching this about 4 times I have to say, this is by far the best Bionicle stop motion film I've ever seen. And it's not just the smoothness of the animation buttering me up, every facet of this is unmatched. The attention to detail, the meta narrative, the twisting of expectations. The fucking slapstick humor that never stutters, falters, or drags. The body horror and editing make it feel like something taken straight from the depths of the early 2000's and sanded down to a precious gem of tomfoolery. You sir have served an itch I've long been waiting for someone to scratch. And don't allow me to get ahead of myself or trip over my own expectations. But please tell me you have something else in the works.

I don't usually leave comments, unless I really like something or didn't have enough sleep. That said, this is a stop motion masterpiece! Not only the animation is really smooth, the already mentioned attention to details is fantastic. Plot twists are better then the best of Shyamalan's movies. While some ideas might not be super original, they are realised extremely well. And to top it all off, the "Lego Star Wars the Video Game" vibe in this whole thing makes it just right. And as a cherry on the pie there are nice references to Canister Wasteland and other great stop motion videos. Maybe this doesn't have good backgrounds, but at least there's no shitty chromakey either and effects are okay. TL;DR: 10/10, this IS one of the best, if not the best, stop motion animations on KZbin.

there's so much going on here, its unbelievable... this madman has done it again!! this might be one of the most amazing things i've ever watched, i have no idea how you keep topping yourself. the creativity and animation here, as always, is stellar. although i do have a few questions. did you have the full plot of the movie planned out when you started, or did it kind of spiral out as it went along? what gave you the idea to incorporate the mini-figures? was the giant Avak-bot something from a set or the original lore, or was it your own creation?
@bohrok3216 жыл бұрын
i guess i started with a plot and it kind of kept changing random parts. i had recently got the mini piraka & inika & thought i had not seen a whole lot of people use them in videos, so i then decided they should have mini matoran too so thats what the mini-figures are. and for the giant robot i already had a giant dragon kaiju so i figured i might as well have a mech vs monster city battle 9.9

This has got to be... the strangest, most outlandish, most well put together, funniest video I've seen in I don't know HOW LONG!

How did I miss this before? This is without a doubt the single most glorious bit of stop-motion animation I've ever seen. The attention to detail and the sheer volume of it... I mean... how?! Nigh perfect non-verbal storytelling, classy audio, characters and plot twists that actually do justice to the Bionicle canon, and fight scenes that look like they got ripped out of some anime? This is god-tier animation right here, folks. Also, you know how much I've always wanted to see Zaktan do those protodite moves on-screen? Freakin' legendary.

yeah some1 needed ta show off some of them comic book bionicle powers. the fight scenes are mostly aiming for the speed/frame rate of stickman fight animations. 👍 (shamelessly advertises watching the newer spongebob stop motion if ya have not already)

@@bohrok321 For sure, for sure. The Ultimate Vezon fight scenes are insane! Actually went and watched the Spongbob one right after finishing this. XD

Why do these fight scenes look miles more interesting than that of current fight scenes from shows like Rwby

I refuse to believe this is stop motion. This is the smoothest animation I've ever seen. Well done. You should be extremly proud.
