I'm sad it took me a year and a half to find this, because man is it amazing. The animation is insanely fluid and satisfying to watch. The dark tone throughout is appreciated though I can't say I loved the eating of babies. The storyline was somewhat limited because it depended more on the fight scenes, but the battles were fantastic so that I really don't care. The fact that it was thirty minutes of almost entirely combat was very impressive. Even more impressive is after a half an hour, I'm still wanting more. I would love to see a continuation of this story someday, because I love Lego Spongebob and Star Wars, and I love your animation. Well done And I didn't even mention it but the set design was both creative and stunning

Dude, you *need* to do a tutorial video on how to make all of this crazy movement in stop motion, especially in regards to how you were able to keep and bend the limbs all around the characters in ways that minifigures can never do and how to make fast and excessive fighting styles. Doing it with multiple jointed Bionicle’s is one thing, but minifigures, especially given their size, are probably not the easiest to do, let alone in such a big group with a still camera and positioned in certain ways, even with a foot or two being off of the actual ground and/or balancing. I want to know your process on all this claymation and how long it takes to even put them in the air and such without the parts sliding off, because all of that on top of an over half an hour video clearly took you one hell of a time to make. An in depth guide would be very helpful to mimic the wackiness. But anyways, this is fucking amazing. It’s like my childhood thoughts have came together in one godly behemoth. (Star Wars, SpongeBob, Bionicle, Lego, space, superhero-ish action, etc.) You sir are very talented, patient, and rich to afford all of this production, effects, clay, and lego pieces. I don’t think I’ll ever make anything close to this in my entire life since I can’t even afford a computer that will even function Lego Digital Designer, and completely break after like a month. I am extremely jealous of you. Keep up the good work! And just a suggestion, you should totally make a series based on G1 Bionicle from 2001-2009 and the original plans for 2010-2012, as well as remaking the Star Wars movies and shows with this amount of effort. I’ll even pay for a DVD for the latter if I have to see that without any BS KZbin copyright issues. (Not like it should give you a problem *anyways* since most projects related to actual products are not funded by advertising or anything like that anyways, but you know how dumb their monkey bots can be sometimes) But yeah, this is great. Thank you for making this.
@bohrok3215 жыл бұрын
dont need much clay to hold up a minifig arm 💪 actually i found minifigs to be waaay easier than bionicles, their so lite weight its very easy to hold them up. gotta edit out a few things when they airborne but not to bad. also found small things with few joints seem to work well with fast animation, if a bionicle moved that fast it would be hard to keep track of those skinny limbs. gotta be a lot more precise with someone with a lot of joints. clay ground is great for keeping characters from falling over. big ones may need some extra support tho only got a part time job atm so am not all that rich. but i guess having a computer that doesn't crash in the editor would be a good thing. idk how likely a how-to would be, am pretty lazy. 9.9
@ZacharyDietze5 жыл бұрын
@@bohrok321 "lazy"? For a smooth intricate animation like this? Nah, at worst you can just provide some tips and tricks separate singular clips overtime and after it reaches to the length of a full video after a few months you can piece it together and upload it that way. But hey who am I to judge, I'm just simply giving out ideas. Yeah I think clay helps a lot more simply because it can actually keep the figures in place without constantly falling over or having to use stud plates. It still must be pretty expensive to do all things considered though since you have to mold half the environment with the other half being the green screened background. But yeah if you have enough space and time to do it then I'm sure it's not the hardest thing to animate, all you need is the necessary tools and some good editing software and not just something like an iPad like the case with me. I'd get a MacBook but I'm poor af, and I'm not investing in a 500 dollar computer just to fail on me pretty quickly. Granted that could be because I don't have an actual job at *all* since I'm legally mentally disabled a bit but I still should've been getting like 100 bucks each month ages ago. It did happen for awhile at first but I haven't gotten literally anything for almost two years, so having any dreams of stop motion or Lego Ideas sets at the moment is pretty much impossible since I can't even use Lego Digital Designer. Really wish someone would just release similar kind of software on mobile at least on that respect, but unfortunately no, so I'll just have to wait some more. Yeah I can't imagine how difficult it must be to animate with bionicles with the more freed up spindly limbs, especially on a hard surface like in your previous video for nearly a full hour of footage, so yeah you totally have more than enough time to animate more stuff in quicker bursts with the amount of clay at your disposal now. XD I think the airborne parts are the easiest to do mine times out of ten since all you need to do is take an additional picture each time without said figures in frame and mask over the supports, but there might be a few specific instances where it could be a little difficult sometimes like with high flips, especially if it's diagonal and needs to be remolded almost every frame. But other than that it's probably the most straight forward, just don't let any of the clay get in the way and put it towards the back. Thanks for taking the time to read and make a reply! I appreciate your insight and work. :-) I hope brick films and fan projects like on Lego Ideas with the now less restrictive rules can only become more popular and supported in the future, because honestly there really isn't anything else quite like it. It's not just a toy, it's a new art form. There's even sites like Bricklink that tries to keep track of everything and, when it doubt, offer better similar and alternative parts. I can't say the same for toys like all of that for things even like Transformers or something. Lego has started to make better small steps recently again in general, and I hope the rest of the audience follows suit as evidenced by creators like you doing more to expand your reach for similar products/topics.
