The Makuta part should have been included, that was gold! Mask of Light just kind of dropped us into late 2003 without much (or any) background, minus Vakama's narrative at the beginning. It's cool to see it recapped by the Makuta we all know and love, versus the void Makuta in 2001.

I suppose they cut it because they figured being lectured to about the past seemed boring, especially that way. Plus, while the past lore is cool, the audience can follow this story just fine without it.

The second deleted scene shouldn’t be removed. It recounts on the Rahi and Borock threats that the Toa have over came; leading the Makuta only one solution to keep his brother Mata Nui asleep: Rakshi.
@lennytartaglia330516 күн бұрын
I agree, man. That should have been kept. I believe it would have been best to give the 2001 storyline a movie, so things would go smoothly in terms of direct-to-video movies. In fact, I believe each of all G1 story arcs should have had a direct-to-video movie (thought I feel it would be too many, so a TV show would make things more fluent).

One scene I don't understand why it's released it's 2:05 where we see Guurahk crushing the Kolhii ball. Actually, it's the directo(s) reason I don't understand for they judged this scene "too cruel". "So what ?" I want to respond. They're the bad guys, for crying out loud ! On the contrary, show us how Makuta and his Rahkshis are so cruel and mean that they destroy even what makes the Matoran's' entertainment and joy in order to set more fear and despair in their heart, to remind them who has the control of the island. Besides...This is too 'cruel" to watch a freaking ball getting crushed ? Brutal, okay but "cruel" ? I mean, it's not like they show us the Rahkshi killing an innocent Matoran, is it ? Also, anyone can tell me what it's supposed to be at 2:24 ?

Why don’t they show the characters faces without their masks?
@liothetitanhunter79595 жыл бұрын
Probably because it's kinda like an identity thing
@TheArrancar444 жыл бұрын
Effectively because the masks *are* their faces. They're robots after all, so to them it's like if you tripped over and your face fell off.
@MrJoeyWheeler4 жыл бұрын
@@TheArrancar44 But the thing is, they've been shown without their masks in the comics and lost their masks a few times in the previous stories. The Rahi stole Kopaka's, and the Bohrok took Lewa's and replaced it with a Krana. Their faces are shown in promotional materials for the toy lines and even the animated comics and flash animations. Effectively, the films were the ONLY medium Bionicle was portrayed in where their faces beneath the masks were deliberately hidden. It was a silly move to act like their faces were some kind of mystery in the films, when they were anything BUT a mystery in all other media.
@cheesequackers55753 жыл бұрын
The lore reason for why we don't really see characters without their masks is because if a Matoran were to be without their mask, e.g. it got knocked off, they would quickly fall into a coma-like state. Their masks are what kept them functioning. [A Toa could last a while longer without their kanohi, iirc, but I might be wrong on that part.] Not to say that Bionicle has been ENTIRELY consistent with that idea... but, still. There was no real reason to show the characters without their kanohi. The masks were a huge part of Bionicle, they were *iconique~*. None of the characters lost theirs during the parts of the story the movies take place during. Not saying they didn't have to avoid showing what their faces looked like in the films, just that there really wasn't a point. I AM actually kinda curious as to what they would have looked like in the film's art style, though.

@@nicholasweintraub8548 That was why Icarax didn’t like him and tried to overthrow him. He was always plotting from the shadows, rarely taking part in fighting himself. His plan was slow and methodical, while Icarax wanted to simply use their armies to conquer the world by force and rule it as kings. But that didn’t mean that he was all talk. When Icarax tried to use the Brotherhood’s armies to carry out his plans in direct defiance of him, Teridax faced him personally. Rather than simply fighting him, however, he simply let Icarax strike him with everything he had without even trying to defend himself, knowing he wasn’t strong enough to destroy him. Then, when Icarax had exhausted himself, he used merely a fraction of his power to beat him within an inch of his life. In this way, he not only defeated Icarax, but humiliated and humbled him. Icarax never tried to openly defy Teridax again. As far as main antagonists go, Bionicle definitely had a good one. Teridax remains one of my favorite villains today.
