They do NOT use high-quality meats. They use the CHEAPEST cuts, if not the scraps, to produce jeeky on mass. Maybe some smaller, less accesable brands use the better stuff, but those places probably charge 3-4x what big names do.

Homeless and Mentally Ill are two different situations. Clearly this lady is prone to violent outbursts, so having her be in a location where they could regulate and get her the help she needs is safer for everyone involved. If we put more money, time and effort into helping our Mentally Ill instead of just throwing them out to the wild and ONLY doing something when police become involved, the world would be a better place.

@@LycanKai14 Mental Hospital are full to capacity, underfunded, understaffed and generally unless an extreme case happens, tends to throw people into the streets after 1-3 days max. They exist, but it doesn't mean they are a good source of help for people who need long term stay/health. Asylums were not built for institutionalizing or imprisoning, as you're implying. They were simply larger, long stay facilities. Yes, you could argue that asylums were really bad back in the day and did often keep people against their will. But i'd argue that heath in general, especially Mental health, was bad across the board. This was the time you could have your wife lobotomized for "speaking back" or "acting weird". That's a problem with the times, not the system.

There's a brand of jerky that lets you buy in bulk. Territory Jerky, I think. Best thing to do. Buying individual packs is too expensive by far. I don't know why, but it's kinda nuts. It's sometimes more expensive than really nice cuts of fresh beef

Beef jerky is a huge process. After dehydration, the meat obviously shrinks. The quality in beef jerky is usually very good. Using crapy "old" meat would be a disaster for the industry. If you really hate the price of it, then make it yourself. I made some with venison, and it was an extensive process, and you gotta wait a long time to get the best dry to moisture ratio. Jack links is shit meat with a quick process. Old trapper is really good quality meat. Infact yall are lucky to pay the price you pay. If it wasn't for the factory process you would be paying far more. Jerky is a luxurious treat. Unless you want really lipid counts and artery disease, you shouldnt be eating that much of it. Just like licorice. You will have bad effects from eating to much of it. Somethings are far more expensive than it should be. Eggs for example. Big AG has been under fed investigation for fraudulent inflation of egg proces for the last 14 years.
