How can you not wake up when a fox is chewing your head ? That's so crazy. I'm glad she's ok.
@brycedurham2802 жыл бұрын
Some people like me are hard sleepers. We don’t immediately jolt when something in the real world is off or odd. It’s not a disability or anything. Our bodies try as best to get enough sleep as they can to recharge. Luckily, some of us can go through the day not as tired as most people. Think of it as, when we sleep, we SLEEP. When we’re awake, we are AWAKE. 💯

Some people can be crazy deep sleepers, especially when you're dreaming. The human brain can be crazy like that.

my friend once fell asleep in the winter next to a heather .. and woke up a hour later with her leg completly burned.. they bearly saved her leg at the hospital.. it depends on the type of sleeping..if you are intense dreamer like me and her you never wake up from feeling or hearing things.. they just translate in your dream as something else.. sorry for my english btw.. and..this is just how i think about the dreamers but i dont know if its correct..i know that i dream every night my whole life and i never woke up from pain itching and most of the sounds

That last one is why you make sure your fire stays lit if you're not going to be sleeping in a tent or caravan. It's basic human survival since the moment we found fire, keep the fire lit at night to keep the animals away.

I have minor auditory and tactile hallucinations and often ask my parents if they heard/felt something when something that doesn’t make sense happens to make sure the things I hear/feel are real. If my parents tell me that there isn’t anything there, the noise isn’t happening, etc., I believe them at their word. It calms me immediately, and when I hear footsteps downstairs or a distant gunshot (my scariest hallucinations and thankfully the most rare) and they tell me that nothing happened it takes away my paranoia and lets me sleep soundly. So yeah, that seems plausible that the child took their mom’s word as true and felt safe enough to sleep. That could just be me, but having them (and my service dog! she’s amazing and it helps bc she reacts to louder sounds or close sounds so I can tell when I’m alone sometimes) confirm or deny things when my senses trick me is super reassuring and helps with my paranoia a ton.

Never would have expected a fox to do that type of thing unless there was something seriously wrong with them. I know they're carnivores and all, but what kind of fox just walks up to a human and starts eating them? Aren't they supposed to be scared of people and normally go for smaller animals?
@cantblink66062 жыл бұрын
I imagined it did curious/cautious nips first and when it saw she wasn't responding, probably thought she was dead and began eating.
@snakesonaframe26682 жыл бұрын
Yeah I’m guessing something was severely wrong with it. That is NOT normal behavior and it was definitely not a 100% healthy fox.
@Coffeedrinker4452 жыл бұрын
Part of me wonders if it was very desperate. Foxes are incredibly skittish and not only did that one walk up to a person, but multiple of them. There might be a chance it thought she was dead especially since she didn't wake up after the first bite. I feel like that makes more sense since it ran off after she reacted.
@sterthester7362 жыл бұрын
Foxes are ambush predators. Either it had something seriously wrong with it, or it was starving to death and desperate. They won't even go after cats unless it's a kitten or has the chance to ambush it, going after a human of all things is just insane.
@cantblink66062 жыл бұрын
@@sterthester736 Except it's not hunting a human, it's scavenging what it thinks is a dead body. Any predator would scavenge if given the chance, and even human corpses will be eaten if left in the forest. I think that's what happened, because the fox, upon seeing that she was alive, immediately spooked and bolted, like it was surprised she wasn't dead after all. If it kept attacking her, then I'd question if something was wrong with it. As well, maybe it's a young fox that doesn't know what humans are yet, or a fox that was previously fed by humans (tis why one never feeds wildlife as it makes them lose their fear of us). In my head, I can see this fox curiously, and cautiously, moving forward to investigate the new scents, perhaps looking for scraps if humans had fed it before, and finding a human lying motionless on the ground, the fox does a nip, flinches back, and seeing no reaction, nips again. When the human doesn't move or respond, the fox then thinks it's a corpse and starts to eat what it thinks is a free meal. Only to be spooked and running away when she eventually wakes up. Seems like a logical progression of events to me.

When I was a girl of about eight years old I actually once saw someone walking around in my family’s backyard. Back then I thought I must have imagined it. But ten years later I talked to my mom about it. It turned out there actually was someone there, my mom confirmed that our landlord of the time was often spying on us. He appears to have been quite superstitious and controlling. Once we had moved out he apparently still sometimes lurked around our new house, that he had nothing to do with anymore.
