Thanks for showing us your BiOrb! And your piano playing is beautiful! Thanks for sharing that, also!

Loved the piano playing however I was looking for a way to take apart the bottom of the tank where the filter rests. Not sure if it comes apart but I have algae in that part and wanted to clean.

Did you get off all the water from the aquarium? I think that the recommended is 20-30% because you need the beneficial bacteria
@spencerarant3 жыл бұрын
Yes I did do a 100% water change, mainly because the beneficial bacteria are not floating in the water column, they are growing on all the surfaces of the decorations and plants.
@Jumajaju8113 жыл бұрын
You also put a new filter in. This was not a good idea.

Plz tell me more about the plant. Artificial?
@delilahdelight558 Жыл бұрын
I just want to reiterate what others have pointed out about destroying the beneficial bacteria by washing the rock media (the black, white and grey rocks on bottom). Those should never be touched by fresh water, it kills the good bacteria and your tank loses it's cycle and stresses the fish. Also the media should never touch the clear acrylic, it's easily scratched and ruined. I've ruined one myself this way. Hope this information helps.

You have some cool Mr. Roger's Neighborhood vibes :) I don't know why exactly, but that is what comes to mind. The piano playing was an excellent bonus to your helpful information. Do you do any partial water changes to your biorb in between filter changes?

Great video. Is there an electric filter that I can buy and put intisde this to keep the water clean like they have in stores? Like a filter that has electric pump and I just replace or clean the filter not the whole tank. Thanks a lot! Ours gets green cloudy in 2 days and in two weeks looks terrible. Can't keep cleaning this every 2 weeks! It's so much work takes about 4 hours cleaning the decorations, rocks inside the bowl etc

Hello my friend what’s the name of your sculpture. I also have a Biorb Classic 60L Black with 1 Rosetail Dumbo Betta, 6 Nerite Snail, Java Fern, and Java Moss. I also got it on Amazon and I like your Sculpture and I wanted to copy your design.

Hello thank your for interest. The piece you are referring too was given too me by a cousin who has been an aquarium hobbiest for years, it was something he had for a long time. It's not actually designed for the biorb and I actually had too cut it down too make it fit. It's a plastic tree trunk if that help.

How do you change tubing on bottom of orb
@christineb69192 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video. Do you need to put an air stone in the center where the bubbles come out? Also what size biorb is this, it looks larger than mine.

In the biorb, is the cermanic media dangerous for small fish? I seen a lot of talk of is killing small fish?

Did you used any substrate other than the large chunk ceramic rocks? Smaller aquarium pebbles/rocks can get into the threads and bind up.

yes that s wht happened me i had some of my small substrate get caught

I would never do a complete water change, but can see why you did. My only complaint is to take your fish out prior to gumming up all the water next time. I am sure you would not like to breathe in debris and neither do they (no offense intended). How has the betta done in there? I was told awhile back these are not ideal for bettas but I would have to disagree. The air bubbles would heavily oxygenate the water. The floating plants in your tank would allow the betta to rest when needed near the surface and provide some cover from the lights. You did a good job with this tank.

Wait….you skipped over a lot. Why didn’t you remove the gravel rocks and clean them? What did you use to wipe out the aquarium? I saw you put multiple chemicals in, so what were they? You stated it only took you about an hour, but the finished product showed that your fish were back in. Did you wait for the water chemical to sit for 24 hours before you put the fish back in? I’m a novice aquarium owner. You really didn’t help me much.
