The lutece twins are my favorite characters. They're just so in depth when looked into, but you wouldn't think so at first. Or at least I didn't. And I agree x3 Rosalind seems very selfcestuous(?) in the end.

Bio shock Infinite's plot story can be summed up in 6 words: To be or Not to be, and the Voxophone recording: Ultimatum is an accurate summary of the game.

Cognitive dissonance is actually pretty simple: The sensation of conflicting thoughts, such as ideals. For instance Comstock teaches both forgiveness through his religion as well as unbridled hatred. In a normal person that should result in cognitive dissonance. The same for people who might believe in the end of the world on a certain date, but see it pass by and have to then wrangle with the dissonance between their belief and reality.

They're technically the same person. It's just that in out of the countless parallel worlds a version of her turned out to be male.

It is hard to get your head around. The story, in my opinion, works better when Lutece are stripped of emotion and conform to that theory that their motive is to perform this as all one big probability experiment. ie. constantly bring Booker in to Columbia and examine how things play out over and over, aka the ''thought experiment'' mentioned in the opening scene. It's hard to imagine an objective quantum scientist letting subjective love get in the way.
