Hand cannon and Shotgun is all you need with a sniper from time to time.

@@baharbenita5457 I dont get it, why everyone put the hand cannon on top, carbine has 3x the bullet capacity and the fire rate, but the damage is not 3x lower. And with all the enemies moving all the time it, its just much better to spam more shots

@@abgvedr Hitting headshots with a revolver is much more satisfying. Though I ended up using Carbine much more often than Hand Cannon.

I was so disappointed all those years ago when I first picked up the burst gun and realized how it basically sucked at everything :( usually my favorite weapon in fps games. Great video btw!!!

To be honest I don’t even know why the burstgun has a scope on it when it’s recoil is so high that it’s literally unfunctional to take out enemies from any range

It's bad enough that it has the damage spread over time (and rarer ammo) but it also has increased deflection.

carbine-sniper-handcannon for me. but I was surprised that repeater had 0 recoil. Now I know that the volley gun could come in handy for a 1999 run, thanks

The crank gun can be useful against larger enemies though I wish it had an upgrade

Similar situation with the minigun in Metro Exodus, it doesn't have upgrades and has its own ammo etc

Carbine and Volleygun is my go to weapon combo. Carbine for most enemies, and Volley Gun for Patriots/Handymen.

Only ever played the game once on Xbox 360 on Normal mode. I mained Sniper and Hand Cannon. I loved cracking shots at short range with my sniper or revolver. Ammo was a bit of a problem if I got trigger happy or missed too many shots, but it was just plain fun. Maybe I’ll buy the game on steam and play on hard and give it a shot. It’s been about 5 or so years since I’ve played. Good video, good points about the Vigor synergy. I forgot which vigors were my favorite or are good

It's very hard on 1999 mode on PC, getting headshots is satisfying IMO.

for me i use the mg, shotty, sniper and rpg. rocket launcher being my favorite has the devils kiss effect. using it bucking bronco, shock jockey and storm destroy everything from existence makes the screen spazz out too from all that overkill

pistol is c tier for 3 reasons one the ammo is plentiful in a pinch 2 its basically a (broom handle) Evas gun in MGS3 aim for the chest it will drag up and hit the head fairly reliablly and clip size youd be amazed how many times i lived in the early game cause i unloaded the clip (im sorry i just CANT put it in the same tier as the burst gun!!! but other wise AWASOME list

In my first time playing bioshock infinite I have made the best choice Sniper Rifle with hand cannon and Charge Vigor and when is possible to find munition I use Volley Gun Obs: when I don’t have more options I use the carbine

Tried the volley gun full upgraded on the 1999 mode, i really didn't like it, the damage was so low and the volley is annoying to use, i prefer the combo sniper+hand canon, two heavy hitters and a shock trolley to crowd control, i had the gear that gives 50%+ to critical damage and the tunnel vision that increase the damage while using the ads by 25%, the 1999 mode was really cool and challenging.

The volley gun does AOE damage and stuns foes on hit, it combos well with any plasmid, so electrobolt scales its damage for bursting and is cheap/spammable.

Also the paddywhacker is much longer range than most assume and kills most anything with a headshot and a few items/upgrades

Im not on 1999 good but I upgraded the volley gun all the way and been just shredding through the game with little to no repercussions on my health or shield

It is very strong, I do like that the shotgun can hit multiple things for good damage if they are lined up.

I dont get it, it seems to me that regular pistol and the carbine are really great cause of capacity. Comparing to handcannon, okay they deal less damage, but 3x less? Doesnt feel like.

You can't go wrong with any of those weapons. Handcannon can 1 shot headshot enemies without plasmids and has enough ammo to last you for long fights in 1999 mode, the default pistol is great when using shock jockey, IMO the carbine is outclassed by starter pistol and you should use starter pistol with some kind of AOE or power weapon like Volley Gun, Shotgun (Can hit multiple things when lined up), handcannon or sniper rifle for 1 tapping /burst

​@@IcedCoffeeGaming But carbine deals more damage then the pistol right? And capacity is very close. Also with carbine you can tap so fast that i think in close ranges it could even be better then shotgun. By far my fav setup is charge+carbine+volley, so much fun.

Playing 1999 mode here and wow default pistol as well as carbine are surprisingly inefficient taking ridiculous amount of shots in the body. So going for a headshot is way faster. Also for hand cannon it seem that bullet hitbox is a bit bigger so its easier to hit headshots. But im not sure.

Kinda see where were you coming from with hand cannon and headshots, so much faster. I think they done something to that balance for this mode particular, it wasnt like that for hard mode.

Call me insane I run a Machinegun then switch to heater replica/melee/hand cannon lol often I'll swap the heater for a shotgun until I can buy ammo, I melee a lot but I only play on easy lulz

So weird that most of the vox guns suck ass... Sad to say because I find some of their gun mechanics fascinating but doesn't really hold up to the founder weapons. Really love the idea of the fire shotgun thing as a single shot 'delete your opponent' concept but damn, its just not implemented very well..

Shotgun sux, this game has too long hallways or far enemy spawn camp. Can barely get any fight close range without getting of cover. I would only upgade volley, sniper and carbine. Revolver is great but has few ammo.

Yeah Burstgun is just bleh. I rather use the pistol. Really disappointed with its recoil and damage
