Apka demag bemariyon ka ilaj karne se zyada dhondne par lagta he to definitely you should opt it! Scope kisi bhi cheez ka nahi hota you have to take stand for your field, for your self! Bohat sari opportunities hain isme. You can choose plant biotechnology, industrial biotechnology, medical biotechnology nano biotechnology or animal Biotechnology... and much more! Difficulty level dekhein to its bit difficult but agar apko achi lagti he aur ap shuq se parhte ho. I can guarantee its gonna be a piece of cake for you!♥️

@Komal 1. unfortunately yes, math is required as it is an engineering degree. 2. i haven't faced any issue so far, no age limit as of yet, but i'm only a couple of years older than my peers tbh 3. i got in through comedk, i'm not sure about management seats but do check them out! or else there's MSRUAS where you can study BSc Biotech, my friend studied there. 4. i'm not a 100% sure but no, admissions are via management, KCET and COMEDK only afaik all the best!

I’m 40 years old my grades are in borderline,I’m not looking for a job in the field, I was bullied in school and I never went back, and iv got a minor leaning disability, I have a slight tremor in my hands and I can only work 16 hour a week, and my teachers did say to me growing up I was smarter than I think, and I never took anything series, but I always was interested in microbiology, biotechnology mainly genetics, iv always admired this biotechnology subject, I’m familiar with math but I’m not perfect at it, so I hope I can I can learn biotechnology on my own and get into it, but I’m not sure where to start, plus learning all those would I be able to leaven all that in one lifetime?

Hi :) I'm sorry you had to go through that. I'm so glad to hear that you still have the passion to keep learning! It's okay if you're not perfect at math because i am weak at it too but once you understand the application behind math and biology, it gets really interesting. I suggest you apply for online courses from coursera or edx :)

I used to choose biotech cause i think it might be similar to medical, and it turns out I'm totally wrong :') If you want to play the front role and directly consult with the patient then choose medical school. If you can't really face a patient but you're so into the science and love laboratory experiment (researcher) then choose biotechnology.

Heyo! I feel you! Haha math is my nemesis, always been ever since i was in highschool. When i entered biotech, i was shocked to see math in my first two years lol. But trust me, it's not extremely tough once you kinda understand it. First year was kinda hellish for me because i failed in math and had to retake it. So, ig it's something you'll have to go through if you love the course a lot. There will be compromises to be made! But it gets better and exciting after the first year. Second year math is more about statistics and biomodelling (vtu syllabus) , which is fun and easy. So, since you really like biotech you'll find challenges, like math in your case, but it's worth it. Hello :) well, I can't give you a yes /no answer but I can tell you that I sucked at math lol. But I realized that there's math everywhere even in biology and chemistry. So, i had to find a way to make it work since biotech is quite an interesting field. I'd Suggest that if you really feel like biotech is something that'll help you in your goals then you have to be ready to face the things you're not good at :)

Hi :) it’s okay! I wasn’t good at a lot of subjects too 😭 specifically math and thermodynamics. But if I can make it you can too! A little bit of challenge will make you grow so, I’d say keep practising, ask your professors to help you, write down formulas in a paper and refer to it, think of it as a game 😉 if you want to Persue biotech, don’t let math and Chemistry stop you :)

Hi! Lab works are definitely necessary in fields like these. Especially to understand the practical aspects of what you study in class :) and you do have to be able to communicate well with your lab partner and I think it’ll be no problem for you ;) . And regarding career path, you can make the decision of not going for a lab oriented job but in college you should take up lab work :)

You can use any laptop actually. Here are no "specific" type to be used for biotech. :) if you plan on working in bioinformatics you can go for laptops with core i5 processor or more. And invest in a good laptop that has good support of Microsoft :)

I want something to say which I think you will understand. I prepared for MBBS and unfortunately couldn't crack it for 2 times. And I wasn't so interested in engineering and didn't prepared for that. But in my college life I used to like little bit of programming but not hardcore fan like engineering students. So I currently have like half half skills in medical and engineering field. But then I discovered biotechnology subject which felt just perfect for me. However one thing is killing me that's in our country during admission war(yep war) if someone enrolles in public colleges they are like superior and those who study in private they infact sometimes not counted as human.... They are useless and they since do not have merit that's why they are wasting money of their parents. And also that superstition thought doctor engineers is still going... Those who are pursuing something different they even if working hard af but don't get much compliments. Please give me some advice that how I can stay positive and productive in the middle of the criticism?

Hi :) I understand your thoughts. Even I couldn’t get through medical so I went for biotech. It is true that there is a stigma on public college vs private college status and how some students may or may not be worth the money and all those mindless debates. These noises will always be there for people who care too much and the way it affects you lays in your hands only. You have your own life and the path you are to take, so you are at the right place at the right time. Do not give your attention to such thoughts or criticisms because at the end of the day it’s your life and not theirs :) so focus only on what you’re doing and what you can do for your goals. When people say such mindless things, just remember that they can’t take away the education and knowledge you have. Don’t worry too much and keep doing your best for yourself:) good luck

Hi! Well it depends on what your goal or options are. BSc is more basic science and will touch topics only relevant to certain biotech field like (food biotech/medical biotech) but BE is vast, we touch on all subjects like medical biotech, industrial, food, genetics, math, chem, mechanical, etc.

I understand! Math isn't my strength too. But biology also has maths involved so we kind of have to work our way through it 😂. We all have something we're not good at but if you want to do something, you'll slowly learn the process. Don't worry! Go for it if you want to but make sure you're up for the challenge! :)

Hi! So biotechnology is quite an immense career option and the field is still growing due to new scientific discoveries. It can range from being a scientist finding new sustainable food sources, or working in the industrial sector, medical sector, food manufacturing and health - care. Biotechnologist can work for various organizations under positions like medical scientists, engineers, microbiologist, marine biologist, R&D process development scientists, etc. Also one can go for business in biotechnology and law (IPR related) biotechnology too. There's a lot of options :)

Hi! I think you can, as far as I know, there are similar subjects in chemical engineering and biotech like bio processing involving instrumentation and bio separations.Also in the field of drug delivery, chemical engineers are a big asset while dealing with fluid mechanics or particle tracking. You will have to look into it , and if you’re still in your first year biotech then you can change your branch. Else, try to focus your research or projects on chemical engineering topics along the way. That might help you with understanding what you need to do next. Thanks :) and good luck!
