This is my opinion, it looks like Anthem was designed as single player but because interference from EA they change it to become "MMO-type like" with live service. This is also happen to another game under EA banner like The Sim series like SimCity and The Sims.

Roman Kluska was arrested back in 2002, accused of tax evasion. The accusations were false and he got out of the arrest after paying a fee, but Optimus SA never got it's former credibility and net worth back. They had to sell a lot of their items often against their interest and the brand was put to rest after merging with CD Projekt in 2011. Since then the brand was sold to AB SA, but the scope of operations is nowhere near Optimus's golden days of late 90's to 2002. Nowadays hardly any tech enthusiast even in Poland knows about the brand (except for gamers, where the Optimus brand is slowly growing back in numbers). Well EA seems to be forcing all their studios to use the Frostbite engine which was designed for small sized games and not these big open world games, which is why we also saw the now defunct Bioware Montreal struggle with the engine. Now were seeing Bioware Edmonton struggle with the engine.

They don't have their own ideas to do with this, they just want a cash cow. That most of these live service games that are being launched in half finished states is becoming the norm. Get the money now, promise they'll fix it later. Don't tell me this hasn't been happening repeatedly the past few years. Never mind the fact that most of these live service games also expect you to play the game like its your fucking job. They also then try and cram the live service into games were really, it isn't wanted or needed, then also adding tons of micro transactions to speed things up. Then, to top it all off, the mother fuckers pushing these things often abandon their current live service to work on the next one, leaving the people who bought into the live service expecting 5+ years screwed over after 2 or 3 years. The Division, Destiny, Star Wars Battlefront as some of the most egregious examples that exist currently, for the abandonment point. Meanwhile YOUR BEST EXAMPLE is a fucking free to play game. Holy shit you have no idea. The people with the free to play game are able to do a better job then the people demanding 60 dollars up front for the SHELL price of a game, never mind the season pass.

If they were actually being transparent they wouldn't post a trailer featuring stuff that's not in the game and claim that it in fact IS in the game. Yeah Destiny 1 was actually pretty good by the end. Personally I only revisited the game whenever there was a new expansion, then did all there was to do and played something else. With Destiny 2 I finished the campaign, was all levelled up and had endgame loot which only took two weeks. Then I realised how they’d made the series more of a grind than the first game and just bailed. Haven’t touched it since release and don’t plan to. That recent expansion seemed like a gimmick to lure people back, all by killing Cayde. I’m sure a lot of people probably think it’s good, and it might well be, but if it takes a dev team a year to actually make the entire game enjoyable and worthwhile then that’s a failure. The fact it wasn’t included in the season pass, just like The Taken King in D1, is pretty scummy really. Man, I’d forgotten how annoyed Destiny makes me... And Anthem? Well its just a way to cash in on the MMO genre. BioWare should have focused on Andromeda or another RPG, sticking with what they do best, instead of this lacklustre game.

You know what looter-shooter has an open map in which you can join mid mission, have fun loot, random events, shared day/night cycle, a bustling hub world walling off the play area and the ability to fly? Warframe. Best part, that's just the Plains of Eidolon. Imagine the rest of the game and its new hub world and open world, Orb Vallis. I'm unabashedly shilling here because it does all of this and plenty more, and everything just about can be earned in-game. An example is its premium currency through its economy in which you can sell in-game items to other players earned through missions. Don't give $60 to these guys. Give it to a small dev team who work day in and day out to provide a rewarding and addicting "Space Ninja" game with everything they can think of. Their MTX are nowhere near atrocious, and I didn't even go over the story. Not to mention they are very transparent and vocal with the community, with "Dev Streams, tweets, etc. Just play Warframe; it has a learning curve, but very rewarding once you get to know it.

Granted I'm mainly talking about Destiny 2; I said Destiny in a general sense. They were caught secretly reducing XP for players, then when they got caught they secretly doubled the XP bar, their 3 of Coins booster didn't yield any better results to good loot as promised, shaders were turned into consumables, they locked off old content behind DLC, the base game is not packed with enough content to make the fans happy, they promised us a 10 year commitment but seemed to have halted that plan, and several others. In terms of conventional lies, not really, but they've done some misleading and back-handed tactics to piss off several of the fans on a regular basis. Oh don't worry I already learned this but not because of the E3 representations but because as a PC player I actually need to hope that the game will actually work... and NOOO not worry about "The game being good" (which is already a big thing to worry about but here is modern day gaming for you) but the game actually working on PC..... I had the fortune of not pre-ordering Arkham knight and I only got it like last year? when they fixed it. BUT lets not talk about games I bought when they were fixed. Lets talk about 1 particular game that I PRE ORDERED and it was so fucked up that even the Developers gave up on supporting the PC port (for a while cause due to their credit after these years the game has been fixed up but still.... it still runs like garbage from time to time) I'm talking of course about Mortal Kombat X and the only time I was actually misled was with Destiny 1..... yeah.... after the latter 2 I'm not pre-ordering anything.... I'll just wait until my trusted reviewers reviewed it and if the thing works as they should on PC then I'll buy it... until then.... I'll just watch as they burn.

Games like Ace Combat 7 and Resident Evil 2 are prime example of showing the real product and then upgrade the graphics, other than what Fallout 76, and Anthem showcased in E3 and then change up the juice by reducing everything to the ground before the product is released. I call this false advertising and this needs to be solved now before more games follow this trend.

Yeah, this is actually nonsense. This game has a shit ton of potential. Whether or not they meet that potential is up for debate. But it most certainly does not need to die. Frankly, with a few changes, this could be the best shooter/looter ever made. The combat/gameplay is superb and fun as hell. Furthermore, they can't really upgrade the graphics. You people keep saying that, but it's simply not realistic. Only the most top end PCs can run this game on max settings (which looks awesome). If they'd put out the version seen in the demo 99% of systems probably couldn't even run it. So while I completely agree they shouldn't have misrepresented what the players would be getting, I also feel like you people are super fucking naive and unrealistic with your expectations. It was obvious to any thinking person who saw that demo, that was not going to be the final product; because it couldn't be. Most PCs couldn't even run that much less jenky ass consoles that don't have $1000 video cards ffs The game may not look as good as the demo, but it still looks amazing on high settings. So though we may have been misled in the demo, we weren't in reality robbed of anything in the final product. The game doesn't look bad or anything. As I've said elsewhere, this game is NOT Star Citizen. It's not some completely content bereft husk of a game. One will easily get 40, to 60, or more hours out of this game at a minimum, and people gladly pay for other $60 titles that offer far less replayability without complaint. And the fact that's not being acknowledged is no less misleading and dishonest on the part of reviewers than was Bioware's demo.

No, it's not Star Citizen. Even in alpha, the PU handles planets loading in while streaming data, the only loading screen you will see is when you load into the verse. I am sure they can fix some of these issues post launch, but there is also a few things that can't due to the choice of the engine unless you rework some core modules.
